i just changed the multi's. that's all.
BOO HOO for the anti-netdeck whiners, really.
What good would only showing the pokemon do? Seriously. That'd almost be a step in the wrong direction because it'd further encourage the high secrecy policy that's ruining this game's environment.
It would be really great IF players really wanted to share their decklists if they posted their decklists with their tournament reports. Expecting someone else to post all the decklists is unreasonable. Most of the players enjoy writing tournament reports when they do really well. Why couldn't they also post a decklist at the beginning so that everyone can see what they are playing. It might even make the actual tournament report more interesting to read.
Tom Shea
so your in favor of people taking weeks/months to create a deck and work with it, and giving the WHOLE thing out to the public ?

Netdecking gives inexperienced or time constrained players the tools to play the game they love at the highest level possible in the least amount of time.
Netdecking helps teach players how to play and play against deck types or play styles that they might not be familiar with.
Netdecking provides an easy way to test for a tournament. The first thing any pro team does when preparing for an event is build all the good decks on the net. It gives you a place to start and access into how other players think.
When you post your ideas or decks online it should be with the hopes that someone plays your deck. You arent planting a flag and claiming it all for yourself.
I've seen and built decks in the past that were perfect and any changes made to them would ruin the build. Any player who knows enough about the game to recognize that nothing needs to be changed is just being smart by playing it.
Building CCG decks is not a race to think of an idea first.
There should be no stigma to netdecking. If you are complaining about someone netdecking because you can't beat their deck then maybe you should do some netdecking too.
Yea like why would I wanna show a possible opponent all my plays or moves? So they can have an advantage over me? Other then that I still do my part by helping players with decks, fixes, cards, w/e. But overall if pop doesnt do that dont expect players to not post there lists online.Players aren't going to do that. Period. Having OP post the deck lists is needed if deck lists are going to be posted at all.
Note especially the underlined.
This is the underlying point of the whole thread anyway, man. This secrecy thing goes way too far in this game. It's gone from anti-netdecking to outright paranoia and it's NOT healthy for the environment at all.
Even if someone does netdeck, won't they be at a disadvantage, since they probably do not know the deck as well as people who actually build them and play with them? I have known people who c/p lists off the internet and play them the next day at tournies, and they usually suck with them, giving other players wins!
I kinda like the idea, but there will be a lot of mediocre players that just copy card for card some of the lists they see. Pokémon is still a game where the deck you make is more important than your in-game skill, so now (whether it is good or bad), you have weaker players much more able to beat better players because of these lists. I'm not sure that is fair.
It would help make the culture of the game a little less deceitful though.
What of these are netdecks, and what aren't? To summarize, the three types that I came up with were taking an idea that won, taking an idea that won and modifying it, and taking an idea that was talked to death and building it. For all of these, I never looked at a list, though I asked for help on several forums with the decks.
that wouldnt matter as the format rotates after worldsAt the very least can everyone agree POP should post more lists from the top cut at Worlds.
