Pokémon TCG: Sword and Shield—Brilliant Stars

/cut

He's not necessarily broken (now the jungle one, that thing was a beast, but anyway). However, it is a very good card, and a very nice tech in any deck. In the HP-On Format, there will be so much more haymaker type attacks (just faster attacks basically), and that's why Mr. Mime is going to be effective. Not to mention, Cess. seems like a dead card for the most part with Cursed stone out of the picture. I have to say, I myself am a fan of the card, despite the attack.

It's a nice counter to Mario and Kricketune decks, and sometimes Speed Empoleon too.
It will be teched in a lot of decks that need more time to set up.

Cessation Crystal can be a problem though.
Kricketune, Mario, Speed Empoleon, they all play 2-4 and they searchable via Castaway.

It's not broken, it's just a nice way to stop so much early damage.

I don't see how Infernape is going to beat it. Cessation Crystal is nifty, but when the person is running 4 Windstorm, you're really playing a shaky game. I could see this being playing in a deck like Rhyperior as a way to stall without getting hurt.

4 of these in rhyperior could cause problems for bad decks like mario and kricketune. this card might discourage people who think those decks are good from playing them.

when i see a mr. mime, i have one simple solution...
*attaches 3rd energy*

And if your playing Infernape, it takes you 2 turns to do 80 or 3 turns to do 90. Either way, all that energy getsd discarded. Mario has problems too since the whole deck is partially weak to psychic and Lucario not even being able to OHKO Mr. Mime. Revenge is never going to work the same ways it has in the past (fast, cheap damage).

I see a lot of potential in Mr. Mime.

plus he's ash's father.

LOL

Certainly, its a good staller, but too risky attacker... combo with Holon Circle and it will buy some turns for you  isn't broken... but can be played against "Quick Setup Decks", forcing them to do a "unnecessary" energy attach...

Cheers!

This would seriously hurt Infernape. Infernapes attack makes it discard ALL energy attached to it, not just two. The infernape player would be in trouble if the Mime player had another Mime ready

what is infernape supposed to do? you attach 2 energy so you can kill it, and then they retreat mime for something they just got 2 free turns to build. It just doesn't work out....

INFERNAPE WILL TECH CESSATIONS!!!

Or the infernape player just simpley powers up 3 infernapes on the bench and waits for the opponet to start attacking. I mean, mr. mime's attack is god awful. Just have to wait and out power them.

Yep, Infernape could abuse its free retreat and keep one Ape with a Cessation Crystal attached and it could retreat when the player needs to stop powers or use them. It might not work very smoothly when the deck only has one ape in play though...

if anything, the mr. mime player could lay down a MT Araidos and increase Infernape's retreat to one, so he has to toss an energy to retreat.

Smartest thing I've heard all week.

"I'll attach cessation crystal to my Infernape to shut off your Mr. Mime... now I just need a DRE... I'll use energy draw - OH WAIT."

Mr Mime survives at least 1 or 2 turn (3 with luck) and will die... that will help a Scrambled Torterra Lv. X to do his job

Can we call this card Ronald McDonald, like Castaway is Hanks?

Or... IT from the Stephen King's book

Cheers!
