Does anyone think this would be an effective combo for the new season, keep on using Dragonite ex's first attack to block trainer usage then use Team Galactic's Wager to refresh their hand when you want to use a different attack like Dragonite ex's second attack to do a massive 80 or less, then use what's leftover to hit. the bench. I think it's something like Mewtric and Rocket's Admin but I can't think of any useful non-supporters that would post a problem in the new season besides the always popular Rare Candy.

I like the idea. Other cards that could be stopped with Dragonite ex is the Ball engine, Rare Candy, Night Maintenance, and Time-Space Disruption(originally STD, now TSD). The idea could be very effective.

I was thinking whit the comming dp3 could be nice whit ampharos if you can speed up the deck alot.

[L][C][C] Cluster Bolt: 70 damage. You may discard all Lightning Energy attached to Ampharos. If you do, each of your opponent’s Benched Pokemon that has any Energy attached to it takes 20 damage.

Weakness: Fighting (+30)
Resistance: Steel (-20)
Retreat: 3


Especialy the power is in it for stopping trainers. Ok supporters can be played but all pokémon get 1 damage counters if they do + Dragy's second attack is nice when they have a bench full off damamged pokémons. You can also tech in a absol ex to kill something right off.

Hmmm RIP dragonite delta species :(
 
id be using dragonite ex as more of an aggro deafener than for his second attack
maybe clean up with his second attack

You missed what's in the rulebook that comes with a starter deck & the compendium rulings. Pre-DP cards like Dragonite ex still affect all the cards that they used to, including stadiums. They don't "see" the new DP classifications.
 
Any pre-DP card that says Trainers affects all of them, any DP-on card that says Trainers only affects the non-Stadium, non-Supporter ones.
 
I reckon cards like fast ball and tools will be popular. Alongside the standard candy and possible SSU or TSD, deafen could be one of the best attacks!

i don't think you understand the point i'm trying to make, the new stadiums can't be locked out by dragonite, so people say, but that are 2 stadiums that can't be locked, wooptydoo.

obviously you lock in your own bf or cb, but you can't stop new stadiums, apparently.

And with buffer isn't ohko'd by ape lv X :p
