Alright here is Duskqueen:

Author: MadHatter
Special thanks to: Jason, OSP, and Team M for their input on the matchups.
Format: HP-SW
Date: 20th September 2007(edited article on November 13th 2007)
Deck: Dusknoir DP/Nidoqueen MT

Pokemon: 23
4 Nidoran (F) MT
2 Nidorina MT
1 Nidoqueen d DF
3 Nidoqueen MT
2 Duskull SW
1 Dusclops CG
2 Dusknoir DP
1 Poochyena HP
1 Mightyena Ex HP
4 Stantler SW
1/1 Tech Line(See Below)

Trainers: 23
4 Rare Candy
3 Windstorm
3 Holon Mentor
3 Celio’s Network
1 Night Maintenance
1 Scott
3 Professor Oak's Visit
1 Phoebe’s Stadium
1 Castaway
1 Team Galactic’s Wager
2 Strength Charm

Energy: 14
3 Double Rainbow Energy
2 Scramble Energy
1 Boost Energy
6 Psychic Energy
2 Multi

The Strategy:
The point of this deck is to take advantage of Nidoqueen MT’s attack. Dusknoir ensures that you will end up with more Benched Pokemon than your opponent. When your opponent gets four or more Benched Pokemon, you use Dusknoir’s Dark Palm to shuffle a Pokemon from their bench back into their deck, ensuring that you will have more benched Pokemon than your opponent so Nidoqueen MT can do maximum damage. Mightyena Ex can move an active threat to your opponent’s bench so you can shuffle it into their deck.

Pokemon:

Nidoran (F) Mysterious Treasures
This is a better Nidoran (F) than the other one, which is delta, simply because you can use it’s Call for Family attack to get another Nidoran onto your bench so you can avoid the turn 1 “Donks” that decks like Infernape can cause.

Nidorina Mysterious Treasures
If you ever have to attack with this card, its’ first attack can get back two Pokemon from your discard pile. So if you happen to end up discarding a Pokemon you need from, let’s say, Holon Mentor you can get it back into your hand for just a single energy.

[Nidoqueen Dragon Frontiers
http://pokegym.net/gallery/showimage.php?i=18243&c=126
This Nidoqueen is used to search your deck for any pokemon you want, once per turn. Its attack is also nice with its ability to do a max of 90 damage.

Nidoqueen Mysterious Treasures
This is the main attacker of the deck. Being able to do 90 damage for three energy is better than most stage 2 Pokemon can do in the current format. It’s body is a nice addition to let your Nidoran and Nidorina’s attack for one less energy, possibly making them attack for free! Its’ resistance to lightning is another major plus about this card, because it makes it able to withstand and Electrivires’ attack.

Duskull Secret Wonders
This one if preferred to its Crystal Guardians counterpart because it has resistance to colorless and its weakness is +10 on x2. also the fact that it can evolve on the turn you play it can save you a rare candy, and get out Dusknoir at the earliest T2.

Dusclops Crystal Guardians
This Dusclops if preferred to the Diamond and Pearl Dusclops because it has resistance to fighting, which is big right now, and its’ body doesn’t allow your opponent to attach special energy cards to their active Pokemon, which will make them think about how they want to do their energy attachments.

Dusknoir Diamond and Pearl
Every great attacker needs a back up, and Dusknoir is Nidoqueen’s back up. Dusknoir’s power makes your opponent think about which Pokemon they want on their bench, because if they have four or more, you can put one back into their deck! Its attack is also nice because it places damage counters, so if you have a Double Rainbow Energy attached to it, they attack damage won’t be reduced by 10 damage.

Poochyena Holon Phantoms

Although it has only 40 HP, its Parylizing Gaze attack can slow your opponent's set up.

Mightyena Ex Holon Phantoms
If your opponent has an Active Pokemon that is a threat and you need it placed on the bench so Dusknoir can place it back into their deck, Mightyena is the card to make it happen. Mightyena’s power makes your opponent switch Active Pokemon, and that can disrupt your opponent severely, especially if you end up putting it back into your opponent’s deck.

Stantler Secret Wonders
This card is the ideal starter for this deck. Its attack, which is energy less, can help you set up fast by getting a supporter out of your deck. It is better than Chingling from Mysterious Treasures because it has more HP, and, if needed, has another attack you could use.

Tech Cards:
1/1 Alakazam MT
This is of course to power up Nidoqueen d's attack by discarding cards to negate the opponent's powers.

1/0/1 Shiftry Ex Crystal Guardians
Shiftry is probably the best tech i've tried so far. It makes your opponent think about if they want to use their power. It can also turn the Flyvire matchup in your favor because they will take 2 damage counters each time they use Electrivire's power.

1/0/1 Machamp Power Keepers
This card is to be used if Shiftry Ex(CG) is big in your area. If you choose to use this, the ideal Machop to use is the Power Keepers one, since if you use the Diamond and Pearl one, you won’t be able to attack with it. It can also get aroung Holon FF and do 70 to Blissey : )

1/0/1 Gardevoir Power Keepers
Play Gardevoir if you are worried about having energy problems. It also helps with the Mario matchup as well as Blissey, because the more energy Blissey has, the more damage Gardevoir does.
*credit to the Captain*

1/1 Lati-Lock (Holon Phantoms Latias d with Poke-Body and Dragon Frontiers Latios d Ex )
If you want to stop all of the Honchkrows ,Ampharos, Dugtrio, Nidoqueen/Nidoking, and Magmortar decks that are in your metagame? If so, Lati-Lock is the tech for you. If you have both Latias and Latios in play, all of your opponents evolved Pokemon with Poke-Bodies will be rendered useless. This can make your opponent go with a different strategy, and that can cause you to have the advantage in the game.

1/1 Grumpig Crystal Guardians
Grumpig is used because a scramble on this does 70 and its Body can help it outlive heavy hitters such as Empoleon, Infernape, and Magmortar
*credit to Phoenixback4life*

2/2 Delcatty PK(- 1/1 Mightyena Ex line if you choose this)
If you are worried that you do not have enough draw power, Delcatty is the card for you. I suggest using 1 Delcatty Power Keepers and 1 Delcatty Ex Crystal Guardians to save you from decking out.
*credit to Ardoptres*

1/0/1 Infernape Diamond and Pearl
Use this if Meganium d decks are popular to OHKO them even if they do Delta Reduction. It can also help against Torterra and 80 for 2 is a nice attack
*credit to The Captain*

1/1 Mismagius Diamond and Pearl
This is another "anti-Blissey" card since it has resistance. Not a lot of Blissey decks run FF + Fighting. Also, its 2nd attack can do a lot of damage with Blissey's ability to get a lot of energy on it.
*credit to master of puppets*

1/0/1 Ampharos Secret Wonders
Ampharos is in here to hurt your opponent when they use supporters. For example, your Nidoqueen MT knocks their active Pokemon down to 10 HP. If your opponent wants to play a supporter they will take 10 damage and the Pokemon will be knocked out.
*Credit to DL24*

Another 1/1 line of Mightyena Ex.
You can add this is you are afraid of the Mightyena Ex line being prized all the time.[/B]

Trainers:

Rare Candy:
This lets you get out your Pokemon faster so you can get set up faster, and therefore, win.

Windstorm:
This is used to get rid of pesky trainers like Cessation Crystal and Crystal Beach.

Holon Mentor:
Mentor lets you get 3 Basic Pokemon out of your start. This should be one of the first supporters you play during a game. I prefer this over Roseanne's Research because you need to have a big bench to win and,in my opinion, I would rather get 3 Basic Pokemon than 2. You could add in 1 Roseanne and go with 2 Holon Mentor if you wanted to.

Celio’s Network:
Celio’s Network is used over Professor Elm’s Training Method because you only play 1 Ex Pokemon and you can just use Nidoqueen d’s power to search for it when you need it. It’s also used over Bebe’s Search because you will need every card in your hand, so you can’t afford to put one back in your deck.

Night Maintenance:
Put Pokemon and/or energy back into your deck, to stop yourself from decking.

Scott:
Scott lets you get set up by letting you get supporters/stadiums out of your deck.

Professor Oak's Visit:

I'd use this over TV Reporter for the simple fact that you don't have to discard a card with Oak's Visit, it just goes to the bottom of your deck. One could argue that you would want more Pokemon in your discard pile to power up Nidoqueen d's attack, however, Nidoqueen d isn't the main attacker in the deck. By the time you would attack with it, you'll more than likely have enough Pokemon in your discard pile.

Phoebe’s Stadium:
This stadium lets your psychic pokemon retreat for two less. So, you won’t have to discard energy if you need to retreat if you are, let’s say, poisoned or burned.

Castaway:
Use this card to get an energy, tool, and supporter out of your deck. This card can be crucial late game if you need 1 more energy or that 1 Strength Charm that would give you the win.

Team Galactic’s Wager:
This can be a great disruption card, and can also stop you from decking.

Strength Charm:
The Strength Char are in the deck to negate the effect of your Double Rainbow Energy. However, they can also be used to do that extra 10 damage to One-Hit-Knock Out an Infernape or Electivire, which could greatly affect the tone of the game.

Energy:
Double Rainbow Energy: Provides two of every energy, but your attacks will do 10 less damage.

Scramble: Can get you out of a tough situation. If you are losing, it provides three of every energy.

Boost Energy: This is mainly for Nidoqueen d. It provides three colorless energy, which will let you use Nidoqueen d’s attack.

Psychic Energy: Pretty self explanatory

Multi Energy: The 2 Multi Energy are in the deck because most of your techs are not Psychic, so they will need other energy. While a Double Rainbow Energy can provide the energy you need, most times it would be more beneficial to attach the Multi Energy instead.

Matchups:
Infernape: 60-40
If you can avoid the Turn 1 donk, you should be able to win this. You may have to sacrifice a couple of Chingling to do it, but you do have the advantage because 90 for two energy, won’t knock out most of your Pokemon. The best tech for this matchup is to play the Ampharos line because when they use a supporter, it will put there Infernape in OHKO range for Nidoqueen.

Kricketune: 60-40
This deck is pretty tough to handle at the beginning thanks to Cessation Crystal and the cards ability to do a lot of damage very early. If you can withstand this, you should win this pretty easily since you will have more bench Pokemon than them, and even with Double Rainbow attached, Nidoqueen MT’s attack will do 80 damage, which will One-Hit-Knock-Out Kricketune. The best tech for this matchup is Infernape for the simple fact that Kricketune is weak to fire.

MagmaCatty: 65-35
This one is all about who gets set up first. Shiftry Ex will wreck them severely, and you can out hit them anyway. Another tech possibility for this matchup is Lati-Lock because it will shutdown Magmortar SW’s body so they can not heal themself.

Feraligatr: 65-35
This deck doesn’t usually have a fast set up, so you should be faster than them. They will need a big bench to do that “infinite damage every turn” attack. Dusknoir can shuffle the Delcatty’s into their deck to slow them down even more.

Empoleon Varients: 55/45
It all depends on which variant you’re facing. If you’re playing against Empoleon/Lucario you should have the advantage, but if you are playing against Empoleon/Raichu you’ll have to play your Pokemon wisely, so you won’t be beaten by Raichu’s Zzap attack. If you play the Ampharos line, the matchup should go to your favor because of Empoleon being weak to lightning. Also, consider adding a Lake Boundary to the deck instead of Phoebe’s Stadium so that you may not have to discard energy to knock out Empoleon.

Flyvire: 54/46
Flyvire has the advantage only because they should play Flygon Ex Dragon Frontiers. However, if they do not play it, you will have the advantage because of Nidoqueen MT’s resistance to lightning. If you get Shiftry Ex CG out ASAP, this match will be A LOT easier to win. If you are expecting a lot of electivire decks at your tournaments, consider making the Shiftry line 2/1/2 and dropping the Mightyena line along with another card of you choice.

Mario: 65/35
This matchup isn’t that hard because all of they’re Pokemon are weak to Psychic. If they drop Lucario Lvl X, you just use Mightyena Ex’s power to put it onto their bench so the power was wasted. Lake Boundary is used to One-Hit-Knock-Out the Machamps. Gardevoir from Power Keepers would be your best bet for a tech in this because Mario is weak to psychic.

Garchomp:60/40 - 70/30
Basically all Garchomp decks need a big bench to win. So when they get a Garchomp powered up, you use Mighty Ex to put it on the bench, and then you put it back into the deck, and knock out some easy stuff. The Lati-Lock will shut down Garchomp so you don’t have to worry about the +40 damage from its body, so this should be a pretty easy game.

Blissey Varients:

General Rules Against Blissey Decks:

-Blissey doesn't own QueenHatter, but QueenHatter doesn't own Blissey either. Depending on the varient. Don't forget that Dusknoir can win this matchup for you, but don't be afraid to swing away with your Nidoqueen's.

-The tech that I have found to personally be the best is Machamp from Power Keepers because in most cases it will be out for 2 turns, and in those 2 turns you can knock out a Blissey. Machamp also comes in real handy vs the Electivire and Delcatty matchups.

Turn 2 Blissey:
-If you are facing T2 Blissey, try and get Machamp and Dusknoir set up quickly so they can start picking off Blisseys in a turn or 2. Unless pretty much all of your basics are prized, you will have the bigger bench so Nidoqueen can do 90 damage every turn.

Lucario/Blissey:
-Against Lucario/Blissey you should have the advantage because you can OHKO the Lucarios so they have to rely on their Blissey’s to win the game.

Electivire/Blissey:
I haven't actually tested this matchup much, but if you play Machamp PK the matchup should be fairly easy since both Electivire and Blissey are weak to fighting.

Magmortar/Blissey:
I have only played this matchup 3 or 4 times since this is a fairly new deck. Just use Machamp PK to take out the Blissey's since Magmortar can't do an enormous amount of damage.

Delcatty/Blissey:
This matchup shouldn't be too difficult if played correctly. If you are using the Machamp PK tech, wait to see if your opponent drops Delcatty Ex CG so your Machamp will do 100 damage to Blissey for only 2 energy! A couple of other good techs are Shiftry Ex CG and Ampharos SW. Shiftry Ex CG is good because it will make your opponent think about using their Delcatty PK's Energy Draw Poke-Power. Ampharos SW is good because the deck uses quite a few supporters so their Pokemon will be weakened.

*If you would like any other matchups to be tested, just let me know.

me LIKES.
ALOT.

gj with the article, everything was nicely worded.
btw i would take out a dre for a cyclone, cyclone is really good in this imo.

it depends what isnt needed for the game. For example, you may not need Lake Barrier in a game, or Scramble Energy if you are in control, or a Psychic energy

[cit/]Flyvire: 48/52
Flyvire has the advantage only because they should play Flygon Ex Dragon Frontiers. However, if they do not play it, you will have the advantage because of Nidoqueen MT’s resistance to lightning,[/cit]

in my opinion this matchup is 47, 34573559373658473... for duskqueen

LOL

in any case take out mightyena for warp point/cyclone.
if yuo have only 9 basicable energy take out 3 card (for example alakazam line and 4th cinjling) for other 1/2 scott and 1/2 phoebe.

in my opinion 3 nidoqueen mt are needed

finally, watch my list:

pokemon n° 19

4 nidoran mt
2 nidorina mt
3 nidoqueen mt
1 nidoqueen d df
2 duskull cg
1 dusclops pk

4 holon mentor
2 scott
2 phoebe stadium... add lake boundary if in your area mario is very played
3 windstorm
3 celio
4 rare candy
2 copycat
3 tv reporter / bill's maintenance
1 wager
1 night maintenance

energies n° 16

3 DRE
2 scramble
3 cyclone
8 psy

I like it as well. Instead of 'kazam, go with cg Shiftry since you listed it as a tech. Doing damage every time they do use a power is better than discarding to prevent a power. They delta suply and put there flygon right in attack range for a one hit KO from your queen. keep the mightyena, i like him with dusknoir.

mb: I play 2/2 Queen because i was tired of haveing every game i play with a Nidoqueen d prized to slow my set up : /
Rocket: ya the tech you use just depends on your metagame(which at this stage of the season, is near impossible to figure out). I was hoping to test this out at my Battle Road, however, I decided to use BlissVire instead since I know Mario wont be there at all.

For some reason, I just don't see the potential in Dusknoir. Sure its Poke-Power is great and all, but once it hits the field, I don't think your opponent is going to lay down that 5th Pokemon onto the bench at all. Yes it had a potentially damaging attack, but you'll have to be losing for it to deal any major damage. Just my thoughts, perhaps you can explain Dusknoir's potential to me.

playing one night maintnence is pointless.. 2 would be more reasonable. 2-2 queen search, and queen mt is better IMo because queen delta can be used as an attacker too. You could probaly speed up getting pokemon on your bench by adding quickballs/ duskballs etc.

its acctuallly when they play a fourth.

it makes it so your opponent is limited to just three bench so decks that thrive on big bench get screwed over, plus you can DRE it and it wont effect its damage output, so it will kill most thing in 2 hits assumeing that theyve takin at least 2 prizes. 120 hp is good to.

I really like this deck, being a Nido fan myself.

However, I think that in-game, I'd really like to be able to attack with Mightyena ex if I needed to in a tense situation. Have you ever had to? I wish Rainbow was still around....

Mightyena isnt really that good of an attacker, we tried running multi in the deck and rarely ever use mighyena. It's low hp and being an ex is not that good anymore. This deck is real efficient and I have been playtesting it for two months now and still undefeated.

aade8: Well i havent had a reason to attack with it. Frankly, I try not to. The only card thats played thats weak to dark that i can think of is Dusknoir, and I havent ran into mirror matchups yet. I was hoping for Rainbow in Pop 6 : ( You could always play Multi energy

in my playing mightyena has even proved to be an ok staller against other psy decks plus it has free retreat which is always good.

has the lone boost proved to be helpful?

The boost energy is for Nidoqueen d late game. It's a nice surprise card IMO. You bring up Mighty then they think you're gonna attack with Queen MT, then BAM retreat Boost Queen d 90 damage.

OSP: cool

Also, is you look at this LFF, with the Machamp PK tech, DuskQueen can overcome a Kingdra deck and make the matchup 50/50 or even 55/45 in DuskQueens favor

Cool, you using it are your BR OSP?

Also, does anyone have ideas for new techs i could put into the deck?
