Pokémon TCG: Sword and Shield—Brilliant Stars

Garchomp LvX

I say it's worth about $21. That is what they were going for on eBay the last time I saw one.

Garchomp lv X comes free with a TCG strategy kind of magazine here in Japan. I don't remember how much that magazine costs, but it shouldn't be much more than 10 dollar.

EDIT: I found the book for sale on Amazon.

Visual Book Mystery of the Lake / Shining Darkness - the book is 750 yen and comes with a free Garchomp lv X[/url]

That's less than 7 dollars. Anyone paying 25 dollars for this card is getting majorly ripped off, nobody should require you to pay the price of 3 Visual Books to get ONE card from ONE of them shipped overseas.

tego - can you buy me 10 magazine, i just want the garchomp lvl x card only, you can donate the magazine... i can paypal you $75.00(10 x $7.00 = $70.00 plus shipping of $5.00, total of $75.00..
i don't want to rip myself off by paying $25.00 each per card....
i went to jpnese amazon.com, can't read jpnese and since you're there in japan, maybe you can buy them for me...lmk

Or Tego could just offer it to everyone and give everyone the chance to get a Garchomp lv.X for $10 for the magazine and $5 for s&h. It'd be a little more fair to the public and they wouldn't have to pay you (kirstin) $30 for the card. But I guess you'd rather have them buy it from you and you make the $20 profit each.

Sorry for the confusion - it was not my intention to highjack this thread to promote a business scheme to sell visual books and ship them overseas.

I've made it a rule for myself that while I'm in Japan, I don't sell Pokémon products to anyone overseas. Trading is great (I'd love to trade people some Pokéball sleeves, promo cards, books, whatever :D), but I'm not selling anything.

In my above reply to this thread, my intention was solely to warn people who are being tricked by those selling goods from Japan. Some Japanese Pokémon products get absurdly overpriced once they leave the Japanese Islands, simply because some individuals (I'm not blaming anyone in particular, I have no idea who does this) take advantage of people in the rest of the world not knowing the products' values. The information stream from the Japanese Pokémon community to international communities such as the Pokégym is sadly very low, and I hate it when people are taking advantage of this.

your regular amazon account will not be registered with the .jp site but you can easily set up an account under the same email addy and pwd.

From a brief look it would appear that international shipping to North America / Europe is between Y2400 to Y3500 per shipment.

Based on rates above of Y750 being around US$7 adding on the shipping above its not cost effective to order and ship a single copy of the magazine which was what I would have done for my kids after reading the information kindly provided.

Guess I will get them to ask around their friends and see if there are a few people interested to bundle a few mags into a single order.

Thanks for the info at least it saved me forking out a lot more on ebay for the cards :)

I got mine for $14 Shipped to Mexico.... pretty fair I gues.. But remeber, a card is worth as much as anyone is willing to pay. nobody is telling you to buy it at $30....you choose to buy it at that prioce
