Is Cessation Crystal necessary anymore?

I think we've gotten to the point now where we're so paranoid that no one is going to play PokePowers/Bodies.

Discuss?

I think you have no idea what you're talking about.
If anything, WINDSTORM isn't necessary any more - only 2 decks in the format play cessation crystal, EVERYTHING else plays Poke-Powers and Poke-Bodies.

What's the second? I know Empoleon, but what about the second one? Is it MARIO? I have seen it with CC!

In my area, there are about 3 decks that run powers. 3 out of 15-20 is not good. I only feel safe playing 3 Windstorm.

wind storm isnt even needed anymore really
warp point is a much better counter, you can use ur powers AND disrupt your opponent

I use a combination of Windstorm and Warp Point... but amusingly enough in my current playgroup I'm the only one who owns CC -or- Windstorms.. lol. Lots of new players here now.

In my area there is a lot of Kricketune and Mario. Windstorms are very needed and are often time not enough. Windstorms are hard to draw into and there is no way to search for them (with a trainer) so it is always easier to get a cessation crystal out.

Mario isn't a deck.

Says you, (and some other people). It really is a good deck. Let's see, t32 at nats with it, 5-0 at a BR today, 4-0 at a BR last week, have you tried it? Anyways, CC really is still pretty effective and annoying to play against, i'm suprised more people don't play it. 3-4 Windstorms is nessisary in decks that rely on powers/bodys. But really, i'm speculating on my metagame in Texas where there are a bunch of Blissey, Infercatty, Lucario decks and Rogue decks, it really depends what's in your area.

Technically, mario is a deck
Technically, so is the Rampardos starter deck

T32 at nats means nothing
A majority of those wins were T1 Donks, not actual skilled wins
BR\'s are warm up tournoments, bragging that you won one of those is also meaningless

Sorry if you find this offensive, but when the best players in the world scoff at the deck, it isn\'t good

lol at ppl who regurgitate flawed opinions that they get from the pokegym.

all i can say is Tom Wise is the man.

let's say, you are running a pokepower deck. and going against a deck that has 4 cess. and 4 castaways to get the quickest cess possible. then you're gonna have to find away to be able to deal with that.

you gotta playtest it. if 3 windstorms is enough. does your deck have enough drawpower so it can get a windstorm whenever a cess comes into play. how much your deck relies on powers. or if they're just a luxury. or if you're poke can ohko a 90 or 130hp pokemon.

Cess wont be big right now, the good players will just wait for everyone to stop playing windstorms, and then BAM

You might not always need them, but you will thank yourself when you do. Cessation Crystal will always win the battle of Windstorm vs. Cessation and it cripples a lot of decks.

It's not offensive. Everyone has their own opinion.
