Pokémon TCG: Sword and Shield—Brilliant Stars

In search of the perfect Electivire Deck

In my continued search for the optimal Electivire based deck, I have now gone back to a modification of Flyvire. My strategy has been to include 3 Holon Mentors to try to get my Elekid/Electabuzz combo out as quick as possible, 3 Castaway to get Holon Mentor or Celio’s/Bebe out quickly, Holon Castform both as energy and a potential starter, and Mew Star as a “tech” against many of the Pokemon I seem to be commonly facing (Infernape, Empoleon, etc.). I have found that Mew* works in this deck because of the delta energy and castform. I have also thrown in a Rayquazza Ex in case I fall behind and since it is delta, I could potentially power it up quickly with Delta Flygon. Flygon Ex is added because I am “Mario” phobic! Any constructive ideas before I take this deck into Battle Roads next week.

I'm sure Blissey and Electivire is a creative combination, but I just find Blissey too complicated for my liking. Thanks, anyway!

I saw a deck at BR today that looked pretty interesting: Nidoqueen d, Electivire, and Raichu MT. The interesting thing is that there was that new pikachu with the electro recycle and TWO vireXs.

Electivire decks Require Mentor for a setup.... The only way to gaurentee you that is Chingling as a starter.....

How do you plan on retrieving your NRGs out of the discard pile?.... 2-2 Ton PK line man... works perfect...

(DP1) 3 Holon Castform (HP) Not the perfect starter for this deck..... Rilou bait is BAD.....

Please tell me that your joking....Castform is the perfect starter for "E"
What the heck is wrong with people running Magneton line.....just run pikachu.......pichu is also a δ pokemon....so that boosts the Castforms' Delta Draw. Plus the whole line is mentorable!!!!!
But it wouldn' be smart to just play Pichu on your bench considering it is bait for Rayquaza EX δ....but if you know your opponent is prolly not playing that then drop it down and draw!!!

Another thought occured to me today--should I add 1 more Castform, 1 more Holon Mentor, and add a Delta Chimecho. If anyone thinks that's a good idea, let me know and if so, what would people take out?

The biggest weakness I saw has already been mentioned, you have to have a way to get your energy back after you discard them (unless you forgo the ability to hit for 120, but then the Flygon's are kinda pointless). Magneton should probably be a 2-2 line, but you might get away with a 1-1 and hope it's not prized. From your original list I would drop 2 energy and the switch for a Castform and a 1-1 Magneton line.

Yes i understand for this deck you need to have a large hand.... Infact I play this deck and have been play testing Flyvire since the night after Nationals....

Ive gone through the Castform start, Pika NRG recycle, Chimecho NRG recycle, Heavy tech deck (Mew*, Mew d, Lati Lock, Eggs), and now im to the Ching/Mecho start....
The main flaw with Castform start is you basicly loose if you dont have a Mentor in your hand at the begining of the game... Thats why Chingling is better, He grabs the Mentor that this deck is SOO reliant on....

Pihu/Pika is Mentorable Yes... But it also takes up 2 slots of the mentor... Which are also being taken up by the Buzz/Kid line.... So to get a full bench you need
1 Set Pichu/Pika
2 Sets Kid/Buzz
2 Trapich
Thats 8 Basics buddy.... 3 Mentor just to establish a full bench is Rediculess and very hard to do if you have no way of gaurenteeing a Mentor in you hand....
