Pokemon: 16
4 Sandshrew MT
4 Sandslash MT
3 Machop DP
2 Machoke DP
3 Machamp DP

Trainers: 31
4 Warp Point DP
3 Rare Candy HP
4 Celio's Network CG
4 PlusPower DP
3 Castaway CG
2 Holon Mentor DF
3 TV Reporter DF
1 Team Galactic's Wager MT
2 Strength Charm DF
4 Cessation Crystal CG
1 Night Maintenance MT

Energy: 13
9 Fighting Energy
4 Double Rainbow Energy CG

Strategy: Get Sandslash out attacking T2 with either Spike Armor or Poison Spikes for 50 (with a DRE) and follow a KO with Machamp's Revenge.

Round 1

Patrick with Infernape/Magmortor

He had horrible start with four Chimchar and an energy drought T1-T3 so I had my Sandslash K.O.ing Chimchars doing 50 a turn with Poison Spikes.

1-0

Lunch Break: Go, McDonalds!

Round 2

Seth with Flygon ex/Delcatty

T2 K.O. with Sandslash on Trapinch for the win! Sorry, Seth.

2-0

Round 3

Alexander with Raieggs/Dodrio

Using Dodrio as a wall combined with my horrible start gave him the lead early on and I wasn't able to recover.

2-1

Round 4

Tyler with Clefable/Starly/other random cards

My Sandslash ran through his colorless deck with the weakness for a win.

3-1

I didn't make T2 by one place so I joined a Booster Draft after the competition.

Booster Draft

Deck (All MT)

Pokemon- 14
1 Happiny
3 Chansey
1 Blissey
2 Aron
2 Lairon
2 Aggron
2 Dunsparce
1 Unknown E

Trainers- 2
1 Dusk Ball
1 Quick Ball

Energy- 22
22 Basic Metal

+2 ????

Pretty good draw for a draft!

Round 1

Alexander

I was seeking revenge from the BR loss to him and I got it. I had Blissey with an Unknown E powered up by T4 hitting for 60,70,.... and had an Aggron on my bench ready to go so I got the win.

1-0

Round 2

Jay

I had Blissey crushin his Pokes before he could do anything to me.

2-0

Round 3

Anson (sp?)

Early Sandslash, and followed by Raichu was my downfall.

2-1

Again missed the T2 playoff.
Great tourney!

Props

Getting revenge on my loss in the draft
Pulling Magmortor, Blissey, and 2 Aggron
Passing the Coach test for judging
Having Chicken Club for lunch

Slops

Missing T2 twice so that was sad
No others!

HAD A GREAT TIME!!!

2 so I got 13/15 with the minimum being 12/15 so I hoping to judge the prerelease because I would rather judge. I sent Tim an email like this, "... Did you recommend me for judging? Did ya? Did ya?..."

timmy said u can judge, but he gets ALL the packs!!!

j/k!

(actually, Patrick is going to make his judging debut at one of the prereleases, but I'm not sure which one yet!)

Good job, Andriy. I know how you feel missing T2, I got 5th at Rockville.
Did Tim say anything about any of us being allowed to judge?

Lucario ex <-- u are? my bad. btw, tanner u r missing from that list sry.

You should have typed my b, like that time at league. Lucario EX is Helen. I just figured that out about three days ago. I know I'm missing from that list, thanks for your smypathy.

Helen, I guess you are going to judge too since you got a perfect score. Tanner, tell her about what you did to her paper after you found out.

Your deck functions with 13 energy? T2ing Seth, wow. I remember a lot of the round 3 games ended quickly. Alexander comes up with some of the oddest combinations.

It looks like I won't be able to take all of you for judging. I'm currently decising on a game of skill to determine who gets to judge. I'm leaning towards either Candyland, because of its increasing popularity, or Rock-Paper-Scissors. j/k

I saw totoro's post. As a general rule, I read the first post of a thread and several, if not all, of its replies before posting in it

IYou should be on that list with extra judging rights for that good humor. "I expect to see bad decks brought in by Europeans."
I find that quote in very poor taste :nonono:. The idea that Americans and Japanese are the only ones capable of making and/or playing good decks or capable of playing well is flat-out narrow-minded. :nonono:

You guys are the best... I love NoVA Pokemon players!!!!!!!!!!!!! (Pssst, I may have some advance info about VA States to present to you all in Fairfax--plan on having some SERIOUS fun Mar 8)

I thought it was absolutely hilarious! Besides, it's only a joke.

Who's Kant?

Pick Scrabble.

so I hoping to judge the prerelease because I would rather judge.

Why?

I find that quote in very poor taste . The idea that Americans and Japanese are the only ones capable of making and/or playing good decks or capable of playing well is flat-out narrow-minded.

Couldn't have said it better myself.
