Yes, we parody TRUK's because they fail.

Evolved from a discussion with Prof. Clay about using Muk and Crobat together....but then I remembered Weezing from DP4

Pokemon 24

4 Pachisuru DP4
3-3 Muk SW
3-2-3 Crobat MT
4-4 Weezing DP4

Trainers 22

3 Prof. Oak's Visit
3 Roseanne's Research
3 Dusk Ball
2 Night Maintenance
4 Rare Candy
3 Celio's Network
4 Super Scoop Up

Energy 14

3 Scramble
11 Psychic

Pachirisu L.30 – Lightning – HP70
Basic Pokemon

[C] Call For Family: Search your deck for up to 3 Basic Pokemon and put them on your Bench. Shuffle your deck afterward.
[C] Smash Shot: 10 damage. If the Defending Pokemon has a Pokemon Tool card attached, this attack does an additional 30 damage and the Pokemon Tool card is discarded. If you discard a Pokemon Tool card, look at your opponent’s hand, choose every Pokemon Tool card that has the same name as the one you discarded, and discard those as well.

Weakness: Fighting (+20)
Resistance: Steel (-20)
Retreat: 1

Only one retreat, and fun to stall with in the biginning...my starter, to get pokes.

Koffing L.18 – Psychic – HP60
Basic Pokemon

[C] Tackle: 10 damage.
[P][C] Smogscreen: 10 damage. The Defending Pokemon is now Poisoned. If the Defending Pokemon tries to attack during your opponent’s next turn, your opponent flips a coin. If tails, the attack does nothing.

Weakness: Psychic (+10)
Resistance: none
Retreat: 2

Weezing L.42 – Psychic – HP80
Stage 1 – Evolves from Koffing

Poke-Body: Toxic Veil
In between turns, place 1 additional damage counter on each player’s Poisoned Pokemon.

[P][C] Oppressive Gas: 30 damage. Flip a coin, if heads the Defending Pokemon is now Poisoned and Confused.

Weakness: Psychic (+20)
Resistance: none
Retreat: 2

Unconfirmed, but this appears to be STACKABLE! 6 damage counters between turns max?

----------------------------------

Start with Pachisuru and get out basics(get a full bench ASAP)

Lay Crobat and Toxic Poison them. Bring up Muk and use Panic Liquid(make sure you've set up as many Weezings as you can) and Bam!

Confused, poisoned, can't retreat, by the time your turn comes around, they're almost definitely dead.

THE FACTS:

Let's assume you didn't even play any Weezing. Okay, fine.

50 + 20 inbetween turns after that they're at 90, and probably didnt get a chance to attack. If they did risk it, you go up to 120. You probably wouldn't even need to attack again, the extra poison id basically assurance when playing High HP Pokemon like Blissey.

Oh, but I can't drop any more Crobat. What do I dos? Super Scoop up, celio's and dusk balls/Roseanne's Research, rare candy, lay, Bam again.

More of the works of U.S.S.P.C.R. where we, you know, actually share info with the community.

So, any input from you guys? Besides "Oh no it's not TRUK lulz" comments.

Hi Supes,

As much as I would like status effect decks to succeed in this format the one above looks horrible slow to me. The deck could use more and faster means to obtain the evolutions. Also there is no need for a starter who needs energies to fill the bench since the basic count is already high as is and the attachment to the starter slows the deck down even more. Given that with DP4 there will be quite some decks able to dish out 60-80 turn two setup decks will have a hard time to comeback from behind.

Consider Toxicroak L.39 with Weezing for a faster status deck. he also disables the opponent to loose the status effect by evolving. Even though the deck is still mediocre it is at least a lot faster. There might be a better stage one line but I did not check out status effect Pokémon that much thus far. Even though the review sounds harsh at first I hope it at least provides some pointers.

*puzzled*

Muk and Weezing are both stage 1s, and if push comes to shove against turn two decks, I'll play scramble. Also I would play Pachisuru because my bench needs to be pretty specific to work.

Hi Supes,

The problem is that there is not enough draw to get Scramble out turn three in addition to main parts of the combo. However this is when speed decks are set up reliably and start to dish out 80+ damage each turn. Would stick to Weezing and look for no ore than one other stage two to be run with him. This allows for more trainers to speedup your setup and the status lock.

In my current metagame which will be up to DP4 by this weekend Muk would be about right since Grass seems to be on the rise and Muks Poké-Body benefits from that. However, Dawn Stadium hinders him same time. No idea whether there is a stage one which poisons and disables retreats for no more than two energies. If there is one you have located the ideal partner for Weezing which is fast enough to withstand the weenie swarm offense out at the moment.

For DP4 also keep in mind that Grass and Water have Dawn Stadium as a viable option to heal them from status and cure one damage counter whenever an energy card is attached to this type from the hand. So you need room for three Windstorm. Cessation Crystal used in some speed decks is also an issue since it locks Weezing Poké-Body.

As is the deck lacks needed trainers and the Pokémon line is much to pronounced. Try to cut it down to around 18 Pokémon total to make roomfor some of the needed trainers in addition to straight draw to keep pace with current speed decks or at least current viable setup decks.
