So maybe it's just me, but I've always noticed that Bulbasaur CG's "Growth" is pretty sweet with all those Ivysaurs out there. In the right deck, it even gives you a zapdosy effect (yeah I know, Zapdos is the worst deck ). Now that we have an Ivysaur capable of doing 60 for GGC, and a superb Venusaur, here's what I've got cookin':
Pokemon (15):
4 Bulbsaur CG (Growth)
4 Ivysaur SW
4 Venusaur SW
2 Sableye CG
1 Stantler SW
Trainers (25):
4 Celio's Network
4 Rare Candy
4 Quick Ball
4 Rosanne
3 TV Reporter
2 Steven
2 Copycat
2 TSD/Night Maintenance
Energy (20):
4 Double Rainbow
16 Grass
So the strategy is simple: aim for an aggro T2 Ivysaur/Venusaur via Growth. Eventually by the late game you'll be able to swarm powers, and give many of the most competent decks heck on status alone.
The Sableye count may seem questionable, but all in all you _have_ to have at least one of them. Your Blissey match WILL be unwinnable without it.
4 Rosanne is critical, not only to guarantee you have an energy to grow into, but to account for the low basic count (seven).
I like where I'm going with this, but my two key issues are draw and energy. I think my draw is way too low for a concept like this, while my energy is a shade too high (all in all you still need a relatively high count for growth).
Thoughts, etc?
