Not so good Pokemon news.

While not the kind of news that's good for Pokemon in any way this story caught my eye.

In short a 38 year old guy bribes a "friend" to drive him to K-Mart where he steals a ton of Pokemon cards. Then when said "friend" refuses to drive away as the manager confronts them he literally kicks her out and takes off ... damaging her car in the process. He is, of course, later caught.

:frown:

Wow! that is unreal.....Imagine if he goes to jail now! Inmate asks "whatcha in for?" Guy replies"I was caught stealing pokemon cards"

He must have had a load of cards on him to add up to that much money.

whoa. That guy is crazy. I wonder if that guy is a player of tournaments orr probably some good friends of a player/collector

What kind of K-Mart has over $500 in Pokemon cards? Mine doesn't usually even have $100! That is a crazy story.

OMG, that is unbelievable. Usually it's Taget with over $500+ in pokemon cards, but K-mart?

man, that that theif is one dedicated collector.

That article has to be fake...

They are not allowed to post the addresses of people in Newspapers without that person's permission and I doubt...

A 38-year-old Brockton man is facing several charges after allegedly stealing more than $500 worth of Pokemon trading cards from Kmart on Medway Road on Saturday and taking off in his friend's car.

Coincidence? I think not!

Given that they're essentially printing money when they print a chase Ex or Star or Delta or whatever Pokémon, you could easily make that claim with a straight face.

Ah, those were the good old days... so many memories. :)

What a loser.

I stole cards when I was like 11 with some friends.

Haaaaa seems like centuries ago. :(

I remeber back in the day when people would go around houses stealing pokemon cards. The main one they looked for was Charizard.

Zard...kids still want that card these days...

There are K-marts in Australia that have over $500 worth of pokemon cards and accessories, near where my local league is.
