Pokémon TCG: Sword and Shield—Brilliant Stars

The Big Bliss - 5 in 1 - Updated with Variant 5!!!

Who cares, blissey/delcatty is the worst of the blissey decks.

What makes you say that? I ran straight blissey and lost to Blissey/Delcatty as my only loss in the swiss and in the finals pretty handily. I could not compete once all the energy was cycled back in from an Upstream. Cessations were a mild annoyance but not effective as they would just kill the active pokemon or warppoint and go to town with energy draw (usually drawing into windstorms). Was I missing something?

The main reason I see for Happiny in some decks is to avoid Mulligans. I run solo bliss with techs and usually played 2 Happiny. It never once caused me problems and, in fact proved helpful a number of times. I would never suggest playing more than 2 Happiny and freely admit that it's not for every Bliss deck. But for me it worked.

I also agree, Blissey/Delcatty in not that great. You should win that game with CC and BF you can lock one in, with enough TV/Adventures you should always have NRG in the discard pile, and you can also play Sableye CG.

This is a newbie question, but how often does a deck with only 4 Basic Pokemon (like some of the Blissey decks above) usually have to mulligan before it gets a Basic Pokemon in its starting hand? And if you spend too long mulliganing in a tournament, do you get in trouble for stalling?

My experience it differs from 0-6 mulligans.
And our TO's already know this happens with the deck so I didn't get a penalty or whatever because of many mulligans.
It's not stalling at all.

In the Variant 2 Lucario/Blissey deck. I suggest running super scoop ups over plus power, or you can use potions instead as a nice tech. If you scoop lucario LV X and bring in another lucario then evolve it, you get an extra turn of stalling. Also since blissey can take hits easily all day (except for fighting pokemon) that would be another reason that you should put super scoop up in the deck.

I really dont like the idea of the holon FF and fire in that deck since it takes away the consistency, i understand that it would be helpful against mario but how often can you get those 2 cards on time? So i did a 12 Fighting energy and 4 Boost Energy line.

I think he said that because Delcatty is mainly used as a Set Up Pokemon and not as an
attacker unless Delcatty ex. There for it takes up room in the deck which could be used
for cards that "COULD" help Blissey or could be used for another attacker.

But that's JMHO.

Thanks for updating the article Dante! I have a some issues with your Blissey and Weavile list, mainly with the trainer cards:

3 Windstorm CG
2 Battle Frontier PK
4 Celios Network (CG #73)
3 Castaway CG
1 Strength Charm DF
2 Buffer Piece DF
2 TV Reporter DF
2 Steven Advice PK
2 Night Maintenance (MT #113)
3 Great Ball (PK #77)
1 Holon Mentor (DF #75)
1 Copycat (DF #73)
1 Team Galactics Wager (MT #115
Fist off, if you are trying to make the best possible list or archtype, you don't use Night Maintenance in this situation. You should really list the best option, Time-Space Distortion. You talk about using Sableye to discard energy. Considering that there are only eight basic energy in the deck, the odds of that being the top card is VERY low considering the ones already attached to your pokemon, in your hand, and those in your prizes. So I think you really should be using more TVR to be your primary method of discarding basic energy early game. I think your overdoing it with the stadium discard power. 2 Stadiums and 3 Windsorm in a deck that is not really reliant on Powers/Bodies? I see your point on how Mario may play Lake Boundary, but I could see that changing in the event that Banette SW becomes popular. If you are looking for a Stadium, Drake's Stadium may be better, but I am iffy on that matter. I also think your matchups are not acurate at all. I really don't like the idea of the Skarmory ex, it has no synegy with the rest of the deck in any way. I also recommend two Warp Points since Blissey's Retreat Cost is so bad. I actually have a Weavile/Blissey list in my sig if you want to compare further. Sorry about dissing your work, I am just trying to give you some constructive criticism. I will be playing this deck at a few cities, I'll tell you how things work out and what I would approximate the matchups at. Thanks for your hard work, I am not trying to be mean! I hope I didn't come off that way!
