Pokémon TCG: Sword and Shield—Brilliant Stars

Mobile Suit Gundam 00 - it has begun

I watched episode 4 earlier today at Digipen again. I totally forgot it was softsubbed again. u_u;

Anyway, I'm liking it so far. It's kinda like Dancouga Nova meets Death Note (without the psycho god-complex obviously) meets Gundam if that makes any sense. >_>

I don't know why you guys hate GS and GSD.....sure GSD isen't nearly as awsome as GS was but theres no reason to hate it. Or maybe I haven't seen enough episodes of it to apreciate why you guys hate it.

Well, here's why I don't like GSD. It's repetitive. I feel like I'm sitting through GS all over again, watching the same 50 episodes with characters who do nothing but ***** about how the world is so terrible. I sat through the first few discs, but after about episode 20 the series just started dragging its feet and I stopped caring. I don't like any of the new characters, they seem like carbon copies of kira and athrun with additional angst. Nothing really fleshes them out except for that one life changing event that they dwell on through the whole series. Watching Asuka's sister die over and over again just loses its impact when you remind the audience of it for the fiftieth time.

Yeah Shinn is kind of a butthead but Athrun can get a little under peoples skin. When they show the clip of Myu's(I think thats how its spelled) death, it does get boring after awhile, but also reminds me of how over and over again the replayed Lacus's statement about "what your really fighting for in war" or however it went in SEED.

Meh...stupid youtube keeps ripping all of the episodes off real quick, so I haven't seen 5 and possibly 6. Anyone care to PM me a link to a better place to watch?

Seriously, they leave Naruto Shippuden episodes alone on Youtube, why can't they leave Gundam 00 alone as well?

I've seen up to episode 3 (I think its up to 6 now) and it is very awesome, not only is it interesting,
the art quality is fantastic. Being in AD timeframe instead of UC or later, I think it may either be a
new seperate universe OR hopefully the story of the true origin of Gundams. So yeah, if you can
find it, enjoy it. (Please don't ask me where I got it from, because I got it from a friend)

Well they are both owned by different companies. Sunrise is probably the most aggressive in going on the internet and finding illegally episodes and content while who ever owns Naruto in the US isn't. The main reason Sunrise is so aggressive is that they have been hurt the most from illegal content and pirating, in terms of money. Since people like you and I see the episodes illegally we don't buy the DVDs which in turn makes them lose money and in turn makes them less likely to bring new anime to the US due to the fact that they won't make money. So if you want this to even stand a chance of being released here in the US don't watch it illegally.

Back to back posts merged. The following information has been added:

Because Gundam 00 is actually GOOD.

That is not why. See above.

It's amazing that companies that produce television shows have been able to stay in buisiness since the invention of the VHS! Think of all the money lost because people record their shows to watch later and fast forward through the commercials!

Well think about it. You would have to have hundreds of VHS Tapes for the show and even then you would have to FF through the commercials. It still is cheaper to buy the DVDs then recording it.

I hope you realize they make DVD recorders now. Besides, it's significantly cheaper to buy some VHS's and tape a show. You're crazy if you think you'd need that many tapes unless you're taping something with > 200 episodes. It's even cheaper to record the shows directly onto your computer with, say, Windows Media Center assuming you happened to have purchased a computer capable of taking a coaxial cable input. I'm sure there are programs much better at that than WMC, but WMC comes on plenty of computers standard.
