Pokémon TCG: Sword and Shield—Brilliant Stars

Virginia's City Championships!

T. I'd hate to give you a definite time, because (as you know) rounds/top cuts are based on attendance. Last yr, Woodbridge was surprisingly small, but this year, I'm expecting a larger event. I'd expect the prelims to be done by 4:30 (that's allowing for a lunch break which we will have) You can always drop early and preserve how ever many wins you've gotten at that point.

Is that earlier or later than you wanted? All of the Cities in Virginia and Maryland start at 11:00, at least from what I've seen. Except Midlothian.

Earlier.

I'm in Annapolis, which is about 2+/- hours away, and there is no way I could get my Dad to get up that early for pkmn.

If I'm 3-0 and I drop will I get credit for 3 wins and 0 losses? Or will it count as me losing every game from that point on?

You'll get 3 wins, 0 losses. Everything after the drop doesn't count. But you're screwing over everybody who plays you in swiss by dropping as far as their resistance goes.

Well if you REALLY wanna go, have you tried getting your dad to drive you and him to the general area of the tourny and just stay the night at a hotel? Or is there no way you could get him to do that either?

lol, he is even less likly to do that. The only time he would do anything that involved staying in a hotel would be nats.

Since I can't be there, I demand that everyone concieds to Spencer, so he can give me anything he wins. lol

The problem is that many parents of juniors are surprised that these events aren't over in 2 hrs. If I had a dime for every time "We had no idea it would last THIS long" as parents were leaving with a dropped player.....

Earlier starts mean that we finish earlier so Mom and Dad aren't mad and players aren't messed up by resistances from dropped players. My philosophy at least!

Do you mean that's the day of your birthday? Or you can't think of a better to spend your birthday?
The latter.

We've had 78 at a prerelease in Ffax. Players there tend to favor unlimited though, cause Timmy will let people play ANYTHING  (what does ancient mew say, anyway??)
30 hp, 2 psychic energy for Psyche for 40 damage, if I recall correctly. But playability rules limit the card pool to cards which have been released in English, disallowing Ancient Mew, Jhoto gym leader cards, etc. Birthday Pikachu is fair game though

@totoro: I heard set names for energy cards are getting dropped from the POP deck list. Do you still want set names written on deck lists which get turned in at tournaments you're running?
