DarkWing Duck.dec takes it again!

DarkWing Duck.dec

Went straight from church to pick up Blake(boofu). We're playing the exact same list. Why fix it if it isn't broken? We kind of get turned around but get there with about 15 minutes to spare. Everyone is singing the DarkWing Duck theme, oh good times.

Round 1: Devondrick(Rashad)@Lucario/Rampardos
This took place about eight hours ago. I just remember he didn't have much of a hand. He was soon down to draw/passing thanks to Winds that one would considered to be Baleful. I benched him pretty quickly.
1-0

Round 2: Marco@Gardy/Gallade
Ut oh. Finals rematch from Fort Worth. I don't know what it is about Marco, but I get some disgusting discards against him. I warp pointed out 2 of his benched Ralts' for the easy ko after I took hand control. It's really not fair. Marco is a darn good player. You can't do anything if you don't have any cards, though. I benched him soon after
2-0

Round 3: Chris S.@Blissey/Weavile
He's a real nice guy. I locked his hand really early. I had some really mean Baleful Winds early on. Mid-game I was drawing dead. I literally wasn't drawing anything. Luckily he wasn't drawing anything either, thanks to my constant hand denial. He was left to a couple of weaviles, but my cessations shut off his power. He landed a real nice heads with Smeargle's attack to copy my Honchkrow's attack to ko my Murkrow. If he would have landed heads the next time, I would have been in trouble. Luckily he didn't. Win
3-0

Round 4: Adrain P. @ Gardy/Gallade
This game starts off pretty normal. I wasn't getting really good discards, but it was enough to slow down his setup. I play a TVR, discard a windstorm, not thinking anything of it. Next turn, he plays BF!! That totally messed me up. I was able to use my last windstorm, but he soon locked in a 2nd BF. He was down to 2 Gallades. I just had a couple of birds, and I couldn't attack with my Murkrows. I reduce his hand down to nothing with Dark Wing Flaps/Mars. I'm a turn away from sealing the deal, when he topdecks the energy. Oh well, he played a really good game. Loss
3-1

Round 5: Heather L.@Meganium/Flygon
Umbreon* start. No energy for 4ish turns. I try to make a game out of it. Too late. I can't handle two Flygon ex. Loss
3-2

I was about to leave when I heard a 3-2 will make it. I had really good resistance, so I thought I had a chance. It would either be me or Marco. I guess Marco forgot the most important part:

"If you're in trouble, you call D.W."

DarkWing Duck.dec lives to see another game!!

T4: Adrain P@Gardy/Galade
He went undefeated, so rematch time. I know if I get the setup, I should win. Thanks to resistance.

Game 1: I almost have the T2 ko, but I'm a card short. I really don't remember what all happened. He had trouble setting anything up. My Absol/Umby/Mars didn't help his situation. BF was never an issue. I won it...that's all I remember

Game 2: Adrian mulligans 5 times, I think. I start with everything that I would ever need. He accidentally says that he will go first. I discard his Gallade when he has the rare candy in his hand. It was pretty much over from there. Good games man. Mulligans stink.

T2: Billy Kettles(drrtybyl)@Speed Blissey
Ugggg....I don't want to play against Billy....I mean Bayleef.

Game 1: We both mulligan. He then goes on to mulligan 5-6 more times. It seemed like he always had the Blissey/boost/pp. He was running through my Murkrows, but his lack of a hand eventually caught up to him. He played castaway and attached an energy. Absol soon told his strength charm and copycat where they belong. He was down to one prize, but I drew my last 3. It was a really long, intense game. I got lucky with that one.

Game 2: We both mulligan. Billy then mulligans...7 times? A lot...again. Lets see...this was a lot like the first game, except Billy never got out to as much as a lead. He had some really good topdecks (copycat/wager). The whole game really comes down to Billy playing copycat for 7. If he gets the boost, I'm pretty much done for. He doesn't get the boost. I get my 3rd pp with Galactic Mars and DarkWing Duck him for 80 and the final ko.

Those were some really hard games.

It is the terror that flaps in my deck box.
It is the winged scourge that pecks at your hand.
It is DarkWing Duck.dec

Props:
Awesome judges that provide a fun, laid back environment
Watching my opponents rip out their hair
Baleful Winds coming from Absol's direction
Back to Back...to back?
Making amends with people
Strong resistance

Slops:
Why is it cold in Texas?
Having to play Billy(Bayleef) in the finals.
Umbreon* start

I wanted to cook some duck cause I was getting hungry. I had Bayleef pinned down in a game that I was ready to win on my next turn with a sweet hand . But NNNNNOOOOOOOO duck for me as he uses Team Galatic to send my sweet hand to my deck and he draws everything he needs to kill me. Seems to be more disruption now in the game then TRR every gave us. So now the kids will come home from school in a few hours and crank up the youtube and watch and sing Dark wing Duck all day. Way to go but if you don't want anymore Umbreon* starts anymore you could always put it back in my binder for me to hold for you again. I want to get that Duck like the Coyote wants to get the Road Runner. Beep! Beep! Pull anything good in your packs?

well congrats again Jorel but in mesquite Pidgeyot and lucario rules but congrats again on your victory again man u better keep it up or i'll be dissapointed

Congrats again! You've come quite a ways from the days of "Shady Move FTL!"

Props:
Making amends with people

If this means what I think it does, it is (in my eyes) even more of a victory than your back-to-back Poke-wins. There's enough drama in life without dragging it into what is supposed to be our fun times. I'm glad you guys worked it out.

GJ JKW!!

It is nice to see you not begin the Brides Maid anymore!! It is also nice to not see your head turn completely red as if it were about to explode!

Smoothe Over FTW!

~Fish~

Good Job, but did someone drop? I mean how did a 3-2 top cut when there is only a Top 4? At our Citys on Sunday we had a 4-1 miss out due to placing 5th, so how did you make the finals?

My guess....

1.) 5-0
2.) 4-1
3.) 4-1
4.) 3-2

and a lot more 3-2.. it is possible! I recant my statement above!!

GREAT JOB JKW!

To go 3-2 and then make it and win it is not an easy feat!

~Prof. Fish~

Thanks everyone.

Spotter, you are correct in your assumption.

Yeah there were a bunch of 3-2's. I just had the highest resistance. Nobody dropped, though.

lol Pidgeot...Good one DJ

Thanks for all the props, everyone. For the record, Boofu is just as responsible for the build and is actually the idea behind the name.

DWD.dec is here to stay people.

Ugh, I didn't think honchkrow could win anything. Guess i was wrong.

GJ.

That is what I thought. Three energy for 50 damage? WHAT? Well, I guess that body helps support it.enough. But I think the main factor is all of that discard power in that deck! Too bad it is a little reliant on Poke-Powers/Bodies.

Good Job, winning despite going 3/2! At my CC, I went 3/1 and didn't even make top cut (got 5th)! congratulations!

Yeah 3/2 is extremely lucky to get into a T4 event. We had 5 persons that were 5-1 and of course only 4 people made the Top cut. Good job on winning the whole thing though!!

Well I dont call it lucky that he made it, when he played 2 of the other Top 4 Players...Especially losing to the 5-0 (Adrian P.), and losing to a 4-1. :thumb:

Heres how his opponent's finished on the day:
Devondrik (3-2)
Marco (3-2)
Chris S. (3-2)
Adrian P. (5-0)
Heather (4-1)
