<a href="http://pokegym.net/gallery/browseimages.p
Hey there, folks. let me just get into the thick of it real quick. I wanted to make a Smeargle with the most ribbons it could possible have. Starting with it in Emerald, could someone give me a rundown of all the ribbons it could possible obtain in the third gen, followed by those in the fourth gen after being transfered? Include only those that could be obtained without going to a public event, i.e. games and only games. Gamecube may be used, and I don't think PBR offers any.

there is 65 total you can get on any one pokemon. that is the max, and easyest with smeargle.

i got one of these smeargle and have had it for a while now.

here are the ribbons you can get (you need gamecube colosseum)

Pokemon Colosseum:
Catch shadow smeargle(Lv. 45).
Ribbons:2
Purify Ribbon
MT. battle 100 Ribbon

GBA:25
(Emerald needed-Berry Master for Lv.95-99 Pokeblock)
Effort Ribbon (Can only get one-its the same one as DS)
LV50 Battle Tower
LV100 Battle Tower
Artist Ribbon
Champion Ribbon
4 Cool Ribbons
4 Beauty Ribbons
4 Smart Ribbons
4 Cute Ribbons
4 Tough Ribbons

DS:38
Sinnoh Champion Ribbon
4 Cool Ribbons
4 Cute Ribbons
4 Tough Ribbons
4 Beauty Ribbons
4 Smart Ribbons
Ability Ribbon
Great Ability Ribbon
Double Ability Ribbon
World Ability Ribbon
Multi Ability Ribbon
Pair Ability Ribbon
7 Daily Ribbons
Gorgeous Ribbon
Royal Ribbon
Gorgeous Royal Ribbon
Footstep Ribbon

The secret is to just throw him in on the last round in the tower battles. he starts at 45 so training will be to a minimum so he can get through GBA lv 50 battle tower. at this time plant your berrys for pokeblock, as you will need alot of them. Then EV train him in 252 Speed and 252 HP and 6 in whatever. you now got the Effort ribbon now. take him though the E4 for another ribbon.then do Mt battle 100 and Lv100 Battle tower. now work on his condition with the berry master. thats why you got those berrys growing before hand. save before each pokeblock and after you get the best ones you want. now go tackle the contests getting you 21 ribbons. GBA is now done

Tranz to the DS now.
Right off the bat you are now allowed into the Ribbon socity-good thing.attach a amulet coin and go in and massage him and go get your 1st daily ribbon. beat the E4 here also. repeat this until you get the footstep and all 7 daily ribbons and lots of money. go buy your royal, goregeous, and goregeous royal ribbons. Now go Smash the contests here also and do the same stratigy as before in the battle tower in emerald. save smeargle for the last set for the ribbons.

CONGRATULATIONS!
you now have the most ribbons any one pokemon can have.

I have gotten all but the Multi Ability Ribbon on my Smeargle. That one is hard. I would like to thank Ultimatedra for helping getting my Smeargle to be this great... and for always paying the rent on time.

No, Jimmer... But it makes for good bragging rights. That Multi Ability Ribbon is hard. It is difficult to try to carry an AI team mate when the opponents get smarter but the teammate doesn't.

Actually, the battle tower can be pretty easy with Smeargle with the right moveset. I got to rank 6 in wi-fi battle tower with a lv. 1 Smeargle as my main Pokemon. What you do is:
Item: Focus Sash
Moves:
Spore
Trick Room
Endevour
Dragon Rage

First turn: they hit you, Focus Sash prevents fainting. You use Trick Room.
Second turn: You move first because of Trick Room, use Spore and put them to sleep.
Next: Endevour. They're down to 1 HP.
Then: Dragon Rage for the KO. Extremespeed would work to, but Dragon Rage is good incase they have Sitrus Berry.

Hope this helps.

Sleep is random form 1 to 7 turns. Usually they'll sleep for at least 2, and with Trick Room in effect, 2 turns is all you need. So that's a 6 out of 7, or 85.71% chance of winning. Just watch out for Lum/Chesto berry.
