Funny, I used to despise Pokemon. Apparently, Pokemon blew up in 1999. I spent most of that year in boot camp/training and never new what Pokemon was. My first duty station was in Japan in Feb '00. I remember getting there and going to the exchange to buy a movie and couldn't find it in the limited selection that we had, but remember there being 1,000 shelves dedicated to "Pokemon." So, like most fads, I shied away. Fast forward 10 years and I run a league thanks to my son!
