    Why California

My son earned an invite to worlds last year. I wouldnt allow him to play pokemon this year because they made it in California again. It seems elitist. There are 49 other states...

    Tournament Rules updated...

Thanks SD Pokemom. Maybe it's just from playing in the New York City area. I actually had a judge offer my son a box to drop from a tourney when play initially resumed under Nintendo, so "his son could win." That was in PA though, not NY. Those players you talk about are very vocal in our...

PokeThoughts By Dave II: So You Say You Play for Fun

Well, I am in the unfortunate position of being a parent whose son loves the game but we dont have the budget to play the many archtype decks that others have no problem purchasing card by card. We pretty much have to play what we pull. Indeed the prizeless prereleases have pretty much...

    Who'll Play In The Grinder!?!

I dunno...I may play...I may just take some time and enjoy the experience with my kid. He got an invite in the 11-14 at the Regional in Philadelphia. I usually just play for fun...but I may actually try this time!!!
