in regards to Base Set Hitmonchan being terrible by today's standards, this is a reason why I wouldn't be terribly upset with cards being errata'd to bring the oldest cards up to speed. After all, this isn't especially uncommon. It happens to Trainer cards all the time.
Alternatively...
That would certainly make for a great little draft set.
I've been thinking about this. I certainly wouldn't be opposed to retconing some things, making Fairy Pokemon Fairy Types and Dragon types Dragon. Maybe not energy requirements though, Fairy Energy could make Wigglytuff less useful
Let's pretend that TPC decided to release a massive reprint set, like Magic the Gathering huge, cards from across the entire 18 year run of the TCG, and you have, because it's magic and pretend, been given input in what gets in and what doesn't. What do you choose? If it's an evolved Pokemon...
Maybe instead of otherwise providing :colorless:, it provides Dragon Energy. Providing, of course that there are going to be Dragon Energy requirements.
I still don't like the idea. I mean, you'd have a bunch of annoyed kids who got half a card they don't even know what it does. ESPECIALLY if it's one half per box.
Perhaps they'll put both halves in the same booster. There's really no good reason to package them separately. The double thing only really serves to make them more difficult to play, and let you have less in your deck (2 instead of 4). So long as LEGEND Pokemon are pretty rare, it shouldn't...
I'm just annoyed by the lack of levels. Level X cards are one thing, but having levels was nice to let you differentiate between different cards of the same name.
