Pokémon TCG: Sword and Shield—Brilliant Stars

European Rating Invites - Countdown to June 7th!

This is just a theory, but maybe they 'froze' the ratings after the last May Nats were uploaded? I'm sure they'll 're-open' them for the UK results to go through. For now, the Masters invitations (without the UK players rankings):

4 Martin vd V 1869.80 Netherlands (will be used)
6 Kevin de M 1850.98 Netherlands (will be used)
8 David S 1847.84 Germany (will be used)
10 Alberto M 1837.17 Italy (will be used)

15 NOIR 1817.03 Denmark (changed to NOIR, invite will pass down, major props!)
17 Dennis S 1810.90 Germany (will be used)
22 Laetitia D 1800.19 Belgium (will be used)
25 Patrick M 1794.29 Germany (will be used)
26 Esa J 1793.61 Finland (will be used)
28 Cetin Y 1789.10 Germany (will be used)
29 Mathieu S 1785.17 France (will be used)
30 Matijs M 1775.31 Netherlands (will be used)
31 Alberto C 1774.45 Italy (will be used)
32 Kristel H 1774.30 Belgium (will be used)
33 Marcel O 1773.95 Netherlands (will be used)
35 Anna S 1771.59 Netherlands (will be used)
36 Patrick L 1770.37 Switzerland (will be used)
37 Lars A 1768.99 Denmark (will be used)

39 Ingo S 1765.29 Germany (might be used, will change to NOIR if not used)
41 NOIR 1760.40 Netherlands (changed to NOIR, invite will pass down, major props!)
42 NOIR 1760.20 Germany (changed to NOIR, invite will pass down, major props!)
43 Bent J 1754.93 Denmark (will be used)
44 NOIR 1746.66 Italy (changed to NOIR, invite will pass down, major props!)
48 Mikkel L 1745.40 Norway (will be used)
-----------
51 Helga H 1739.08 Belgium (will be used, if she gets it)

The only question then is Ingo, and if any UK players get into the top 50 who're thinking of going, apart from the top 4 at UK Nationals.

we will see soon, if is frozen, we better email pop... :)

AFAIK, there is one person who went 5-0 in swiss and lost in T8...will be going as his brother have an invitation. another who had a high rating, Faisal who went 4-1 lost in T8 wont be going. I dont think anyone who had a good pre-nats rating can go pass Mikkel.

That is Ben S, my brother.

His current rating is 1737.96. We are hoping that once his 6-1 Nats record is uploaded, it will be enough to get him an invite

So now we know Ben S. will get an invite. I don't expect another UK player to pass Mikkel, so Bent J. will also be certain, Mikkel L.'s invite will solely depend on Ingo S.'s decision and Helga H. will unfortunatly miss the invite.

I will go NOIR if I can't convince my mom to go within this week(as long as UK nats is updated and it's confirmed that I get an invite),

so I guess that is Helga's shot at an invite

I'm thinking that they don't want to see me at Worlds: I became 3rd at my Nationals (only top2 got an invite) and now I'm the first person who will NOT get an invite by ranking!
But I'll go to Orlando... And I'll play the Grinder...

Helga

Fireborn: That sounds odd too. I hope someone from Pokémon USA can comment on this.

B_J: Hope traveling works out for your mom after all. I'm hoping for the same for Emil ... You two are Norway's only double-STP winners, yet lost in Top 8 at Nationals, one match away from the invite. I hope you get to go to Worlds!

Helfighter: That's some bad luck. :( Always being one rank away must be harsh. It's awesome that you're not giving up and will give the grinder a go!

22 ben s 1802.69 MA Berkshire GB
44 Faisal Khan 1760.50 MA - GB

And 2 of them without an invite ended above the 50th place.
Now I don't know if Faisal will turn into NOIR, because in his report he said he couldn't go anyway.

The Ranking had an impact change today!
Some players in EA-Zone lost or won up to 15 Points or more!
Please Check and update

cya at Worlds

Korlondo alias Patrick L.

I think that was the last update and now will the invites given out right?

@Pui, Dave or so what: When send the PUI the paperwork out? Because its a short timeline to the 14.07.2008

okay guys i think know its finish and ranking change to NOIR is too late thats my opinion but im not sure, but

50th actually, i think Faisal wasnt sure if he go past Mikkel or Bent, the two players who are definately going, so he was thinking he will only go NOIR after he see it himself.

Back to back posts merged. The following information has been added:

noticed the numbers of uninvited players for rankings:
(that is counting Bent J DK instead of Faisal K. GB)
Finland: 1
Denmark: 11
Netherlands: 11111
Belguim: 11
France: 1
Great Britian: 1
Italy: 11
Switzerland: 1
Germany: 11111

(If Mikkel makes in, he would be the only norweigin rep in rankings)

I don't think it is too late to NOIR.... Of course I could say this every day and at some point I'm going to be wrong so the sooner the better for those that know they cannot go.
