Arizona TCG & VG Regional Championships Oct 3rd & 4th - Masters CASH Prizes added

spookees, i saw that in the TCG regional section it states standard format, should be expanded i think.

Player misplay - putting cards on top of deck

I will presume you mean player 1, as player 2 is the current player who played colress. This gamestate is completely rewindable, GPE-Minor. The player using Colress definitely helped the other player from earning a GL because once that deck becomes random, then that's it. I would question what...

Will US nats have expanded day?

I would presume since nothing is specifically said about an expanded format, that there is none. However more details are sure to be coming, so this is just speculation right now. Also, day 1 of Nats for TCG is 6-9 rounds swiss, day 2 is remaining swiss and then top 8, possibly top 4 if time...

    Supporters and Play Area

technically speaking, the card must go into play, and then hit the discard. I would play it just like the TCGO, the card you play goes onto the field to resolve, and is then discarded after it is resolved. The change of the rule was that the supporter no longer remains in play and is discarded...

[QUESTION] Pokemon Organizer Application and Recognition

Unfortunatelly there is a massive delay in the processing of applications and background checks. I sent in my paperwork and it took approximatelly 9 months to get it all sorted out. Just be patient.

Virbank City Gym not in play, but thought it was

I disagree with penalizing something that was brought to the attention of the judges after the game was picked up if it was only gameplay error. Because as a judge, we need to view the gamestate to make a decision, then we access the penalty earned. Whats to stop players from accusing their...

Virbank City Gym not in play, but thought it was

If the game was picked up, then there is literally nothing we can do. If the cards were on the table still, so a judge can access the situation, then the obvious questions will be asked. How was the stadium removed, and who was placing the poison damage? I slightly find it hard to believe that...

    Repeat Ball

yeah, its only the topmost card that is considered in play. Energy/tools are attached, but evolutions are not. If a card wants to reference the lower evolutions, they will specifically state that (celebi for example)

    Dragonite.

Any ability that uses the phrase "When you play this card..." gets to activate it at that precise moment. If you take ANY other action, you then lose the chance to use the ability

Archie Or Maxie w no PKMN in discard

I would say yes, since you did not place a pokemon onto the bench

    Legality of Unreleased Cards

Yup, as long as there is no significant change in the wording of the cards, I would allow the newer cards to be used.

how many play points do i need to go to worlds

to play in the world championship, you are not required to have any play points, however, you will need to get 300/250/200 (master/senior/junior) championship points to be able to play in the main event

If I max out a Pokemon's Base Stat (EVs)

To more clarify on what Pikamaster said, in the games prior to XY, EV stats were calculated upon level-up, meaning if you rare-candied the pokemon to 100, then that was it and it couldn't gain any EV stats at all, so in that context, a trained 100 would be vastly superior to a candied 100...

Opponent Cutting Their Deck After You

GPE major would be correct actually, Shuffling your deck mid-game without the use of a card effect.

Allowing Players to finish/complete the Game even after time has been called

imo, that tournament is now under a ton of scrutiny, as the result of that game is now muddied, since the tie should of happened, and instead was changed to have a winner.

No lcq at worlds this year?

I never said the LCQ was single elimination, or that a loss puts you out completely. I know its separate stand alone tournament to get into day 2, but from the way the tournament is worded with how people advance, it sounds EXACTLY like a LCQ to me (The players with X points after the tournament...

No lcq at worlds this year?

Me and my friends though of it like this. Day 1 of worlds IS the LCQ, its just the LCQ now has a 300CP entry requirment

    Lysandre's Last Resort Situations

Agreed with pokemather, this situation should be addressed exactly like N would be for shuffling the hand back into the deck. GL to start, unless fixable being the first couple turns of the game.

    Card language and nationality

Card language legality is based on where the tournament is located and not where the player is from, expect for the World championships. Worlds is the reverse (cards based on player and not location)
