I think it looks like it could be an evolution of Sandslash, with long quills pulled back in a ponytail.

One thing I noticed with these past two sets that I love (no reason why), is that they included the evolutionary stones with Pokemon that used them to evolve.

Ah, the thread stated people were unsure whether they were booties or pre-production figures. Thanks for the information, though. One way or another, I hope to eventually find a Surge for my collection. :)

Actually, the regions in Pokemon (Kanto, Johto, Hoenn, and Sinnoh) are real regions in Japan. I'm pretty sure it's supposed to be based in a similar world to ours hence the references to continents, countries, and landmarks from our actual world in the Pokedex entries. In a CD drama...

Those figures are absolutely gorgeous. I've been contemplating buying a set once I get money for the Lt. Surge TFG. Hopefully they're still being made by the time that happens.
