    2013-02-10 PLS Cherrim 007

Seeing as Cherrim is adorable, I wish this card was abit better... Preferably broken. If we could have a more sizable amount of damage removed per Fair-Weather Heal, even 30 or 40, I this card could become a really viable tech in any deck running Prism or Blend- Grass is obviously never getting...

I'm really not sure who pays for Retreat in this Format anyway. X3 2/10

Change From Tradition to Better the Game

Contrary to lolsjackal, I'd like to try the inverted prize system because of that very effect. Catcher has made many cards unplayable and Evolutions with weak Basics extremely underpowered due to their vulnerability, but if your opponent would be knowingly rewarding you by taking a cheap shot...

    2013-01-23 BCR Cheren 148

I personally like this card, but the grade you give it depends heavily on your playing style and how your deck is built. If you tend to play out your hand, Bianca may net you 1 or 2 more cards than Cheren could (or less, depending on your luck). However, should you already have a sizable hand...

2013-01-24 BCR Black Kyurem EX 101/145

Beautiful artwork. Anyone who plays Klingklang should run one of these, decent late-game damage on the second attack and a game-changing coin flip on the first. Not as much luck in a Rayquaza/Eels engine, however, the necessary energy and bulky retreat would throw you off tremendously. 6/10 as...

    2013-01-22 BCR Serperior 013

Now, if Mega Drain healed the same amount of damage as delivered, then we'd have a competitive deck; OHKO vs. Terrakion or Blastoise and 140 damage plus complete healing against Keldeo EX for :grass::colorless::colorless: wouldn't be bad at all. But they didn't even give it a :water: Resistance...

TCG Design: What would you like to see in Pokemon?

On the subject of type changes, I think Ghosts making the jump to Dark type as mentioned makes perfect sense, seeing as Ghosts themselves are weak to other Ghosts and Darks in the VG. Now, what if the TCG got creative with Weakness, printing at the same time cards with +X Weaknesses and others...

    Flygon/Celebi/Groudon. An intriguing strategy.

I personally like the Dusknoir-less build. Have Flygon out a few turns to spread damage (30 a turn assuming you can use Vibrava's attack), then bring out Groundon to sweep everything on their side of the board. And Dark-types, beware... God, I wouldn't wanna play this deck with my D-Krai/Hydras...

    Black -White or X-Y

I personally enjoy the current format- I don't place well at any competitive events, but I still have fun. And this upcoming set, Plasma Storm, is going to introduce a great number of new staples into the format, and Plasma Pokemon are going to make evolutions finally competitive again, so...

    2013-01-20 BCR Golurk 150

Perhaps with Plasma Pokemon coming next month, Golurk will find a use- Evolutions will be back in the game :D High energy costs, ridiculous retreat cost, and only reasonable HP make it difficult to play, however. I'd give it a 5/10 with room for improvement.

    new player random question

Computer Search specifically? No. The Pokemon Organization decided to be a... Well, they won't let us use it. But other cards can be, if they have the same name and close-to-same effect; you may have to look at individual rulings ona lot of these.

Future EX's and the remainer of Black and White format

I'm relatively new to this game, but not to this format: How long do you veterans think we'll see the BW series stay before it's rotated out? I personally find it a fun, albeit slightly unbalanced format, and can't wait to see it mixed with whatever play mechanics will be introduced in the XY...

    2013-01-14 BCR Keldeo 047

The cheap alternative to Keldeo EX, surprisingly with higher base damage. Its only use would be as a Landorus counter in a deck with reliable energy acceleration, like Darkrai/Hydreigon or RayEels, and even then the EX is preferred, chiefly for the Ability and bulkier HP. Tho assuming you don't...

    2013-01-13 BCR Musharna 069

Look, she's obviously useless in the meta, but let's stop acting surprised by that and look at Musharna's merits. A 30 damage snipe for :psychic: is actually not bad, and the second attack, while a bit costly for :psychic::colorless::colorless: is meant to be teamed with her Basic, whose Ability...

    Crobat Toxins

Garbodor is an excellent idea, actually. I'd drop the Sigies, and run some Tools (like I mentioned) and Colress (like AzUK mentioned). You'd be giving up Crobat's power, but the benefit is pretty staggering.

    Crobat Toxins

Way to take advice after asking for it, man >< Eh, the problem with this deck is something any deck in the format can do right now, Retreating. Keldeo and Darkrai obviously do it for free, as do most EXs with Skyarrow Bridge, and heftier attackers are bound to run several switches, or even a...

    BW-on De-EX, an Anti-Meta deck

It looks good to me- one should never underestimate Terrakion. If you're having trouble against Keldeo EX, why not throw in a Mewtwo EX or two?

    2013-01-08 BCR Keldeo EX 049/142

Keldeo really is a great card, and that used to annoy me terribly because I didn't like to think about how much my Darkrai variant was going to lose to a ginger unicorn with rainbow highlights. Since then, it's dominated the meta, and my opinion of it is actually softer. Though most known...

    2013-01-07 BCR Hugh 130

If it at least entitled you to randomly discard from your opponent's hand, it might be worth it. But the effect is so minimal as is it will rarely be detrimental to your opponent, who can either benefit from the discard, pick a few cards they can cope without, or most likely draw 1 or 2, as...

    2013-01-02 BCR Vileplume 003

The main problem with Vileplume is that it's an evolution. Very difficult to play and requires a large investment of space, like all stage 2s. The question is, does it's Ability (The only thing any Evolution is wanted for in this format) make the investment worth it? And right know our answer...
