Not every EX is good... nothing new. And if the benefit of any cards was always immediately obvious, the game would be boring.

If there were true, you would already be champion and this whole thread is moot. I think you have too high of self-esteem that easily damaged by losing a game so you avoid it at all costs. The only option is to be Champion which is impossible without losing.
