2 Ludicolo strategies

Here are two diffrent Ludicolo strategies that have the same moveset, the diffrence is in the ability.

Healing Ludicolo @ Leftovers (Ability= Rain Dish)
Rain Dance
Giga Drain
Surf
Ice Beam

The idea behind this guy is to keep your Hp up while Fighting. Rain Dance ups Surfs power and activates raindish so you heal and do extra damage. Giga Drain heals and damages using Ludicolo's high SPAttack plus it gets STAB. Ice Beam is just another powerfull attack to work off of his SpAttck. And the Leftovers give a little xtra healing.


Speedy Ludicolo @ Kings Rock (Ability= Swift Swim)
Rain Dance
Giga Drain
Surf
Ice Beam

Speedy Ludicolo uses Raindance to boost his speed and Surfs attack power. with his doubled speed Ludicolo uses brute force to plow through pokemon with the Kings Rock adding flinch. The Flinching and Giga Drain just maintain your Hp a little longer.


So, wat do you think. same pokemon, same moveset but the ability makes the diffrence.

That's about how I have my main Ludicolo(yes, I have more than 1, he's my favorite new Pokémon), except his moveset is:

Surf
GigaDrain
Blizzard
Facade

I use him basically to run through the Elite 4 and level up other Pokémon I have, and you'd be surprised how much damage Facade does, even without the status effect. I also use him for breeding, which results in a Lotad with the exact same moveset, which is pretty neat, I think.

I really prefer Ice Beam and Surf over Blizzard and Hydro Pump myself, simply because you get more PP with those moves, and they're more accurate. Myself, I'd stick with Rain Dish Ludicolo, because it's a lot more frustrating to take down a Pokémon that keeps restoring its own health than it is to face a faster Pokémon. Plus he works really well in 2-on-2 alongside another Water or Electric type Pokémon.

I agree with Poinko (go figure). Lodicolos speed is already awsome, and restoring HP is way better than speed anyways. Especially with Leftovers.....

Just want to abuse its Solarbeam and Synthesis, and be different. Neither ability really supports the moveset though......
