Like Holon Adventurer, Holon's Castform is a card who's seen better days. The only good Delta decks out there are Flygon d variants and Kingdra ex d variants, although Meggy d and Nidoqueen d are worth trying. As draw power, Casty is a risky starter these days due to the presence of so many :fighting: type Basics that can do a number on it (DP Machop, Horsea d, and especially Riolu!).

As an Energy card, Castform is better in this regard, and may even be teched in non-Delta decks. However, this runs the risk of having Casty being your only Pokemon in your starting lineup, so using him for this purpose is strongly discouraged.

Holon's Castform gets a 2.75/5 in today's format.

Now im aware that fighting has became big again, but dont let that stop you from using this card.

I run a only 1 in my deck, and have only started with it once in the whole 30+ battles i have played with it, but of course im running only 1. I could use its attack but only 2 pokemon in the deck are delta. I run it because of its ability to be a DRE. Its mentorable, celioable, Maganium d able lol.

Now running it as a starter could be bad, but could be good. Since fighting/lucario is played alot, if you dont mind an every now and then t1ko then go ahead and abuse it, but if your not for it, find something else.

Mod. 8/10 (Even in this format it still works well.)

Limited. 8/10 (For those who must run more than 2 types, this card is useful)

Unlimited. 3/10 (Havnt seen it here, so i assume its not needed)

Holon's Castform went from the most broken Pokemon ever printed to a below-average card in a single format shift.

A Bajillion/10 last format, 3/10 this format.

I played 4 of these bad boys in every deck I played at a major tournament up until nationals last season. But with the format change and Delta decks on their deathbed, this card has lost almost all of it's worth. Even when you only run it for energy, it's risky because it's probably the worst starter in your deck. (Holon's Magneton/Electrode were infinitely better for that cause)

So for HP-on... It's still playable in a delta deck, but considering how well THOSE do in this format...</sarcasm>

3.5/10
