3 pokemon on bench when u need

40 damage when ur oponent plays tools + discarding the same on his hand

70HP is a 1 or 2 turn holder

nice and easy sacriifce for a scramble

and for a PS metal resistance ,,

i personally use Absol + Team Galac Mars,, but this is a 10 points starter =)

also he's beautifull ^^ and the artwork is fantastic.

If you SERIOUSLY think Pachirisu isn't a good card it's because the only thing you play WELL is Gardevoir/Gallade. Some people need to get their heads off that deck. If they did they'd realize there's other decks in the FORMAT! It's either that, or you have absolutely no idea what the heck you are talking about.

Back to back posts merged. The following information has been added:

All you had to say was that I should play Pachirisu because it's cute. I would've bought it.

Seriously though, great response. I think the main reason I haven't been using Pachirisu is because I've been experimenting more with some of the other interesting starters we have. Sableye plus the Pokeball system is great, and the SW Mew is an incredible 1-card answer to getting set up since I can use its attack on the first turn even if I don't start with it. Plus, other choices I've been working on for States simply cannot fit 4 (or even 2 or 3) Pachirisu in the deck.

But I agree with what you said in terms of decks that can effectively use Pachirisu. Sometimes the build of the deck requires a lot of Basic Pokemon or a quick set up. For decks like Magmortar varients (Typhlosion/Blaziken), Hurricane, and others, Pachirisu is the superior play. But think about G&G decks -- is Pachirisu worth playing over Sentret/Furret? Though most decks can gain strength from using Pachirisu, others simply don't need it.

I still think Pachirisu's second attack is awesome though.

Oh of course, Furret is definitely the preferred play in GG. Sentret IS the starter too, glad you pointed that out, a lot of people seem to ignore it. There are some other things where Pachy isn't the best, either.

The only reason it isn't in everything is because we have so many options. If you compare Dunsparce's reign to now, there are a lot more playable starters now than then.

As for the second attack -- it's great, no question about it. This card was MADE for setup decks.

this silly squirrel's second attack won't make it greater than almost anything. If it's soo great, just play E-vire lv x instead. much better than this trash squirrel. mentor doesn't waste bench space and doesnt have to discard energy unless you want to. stantler doesnt need any energy at all. pachi is OVERHYPED!!! figure it out. its better than average but it isnt "> almost everything". pick up some windstorms instead and hopefully that will help you get you a better record than squirrel in states. you fail...:nonono:

are you kidding me?
so instead of playing pachirisu to get my basics and rid me of cess. hassels i should play
stantler
mentor
windstorm
buzz/vire/vire lv. x

lets count that up.
4 stantler
2-3 mentor
2-3 windstorm
1/1/1 vire lv x
thats 11-13 cards in your deck that do the same exact thing as 4 pachirisu.
and using vire X as an alternative to pachi is just ridiculous.:nonono:

i think ill take the 4 pachi over your inconsistant 11-13 card mess thanks.

I'm saving his quote (like I have saved some others, see sig) so we can remember when decks with Pachy win multiple States. The card is GOOD, get used to it.

Let's see, was Dunsparce from SS good? So why wouldn't a very very close mirror to it not be good. Dunsparce was a 10/10 so I think you know what I give this card.

10 - Limited
10 - Modified
Unlimited is kinda one of those formats where you dont need a starter. Just lots of trainers so you can lock them by turn 2. While it is good I think you cant really give it a fair grade.
