Cool Graphics and nice body. Definitely some potential here as I can see it being partnered up with maybe Typhlosion prime.

no capitalization in the title/10

IMO, the concept behind RDL is neat, but its high energy demand and weaknesses lead me to believe that it won't be competitive for a long time, if at all. Still makes for a neat fundeck, though.

I played this on sunday at br and went 4-1 its a great card everyone regrets expert belt or had to not fight with that pokemon only negative is weakness ugh. energy is a bit pricey but not t hard to get out if you know how. i give it a 8/10

Can be quite effective when used in conjunction with Typhlosion Prime, Electivire FB LV.X, Rayquaza LA, and/or Stark Mountain.

DRL is best used in either a dedicated deck that runs Rayquaza LA, Stark Mountain, and/or Electivire FB LV.X, or thrown in to a fire energy recycling deck with a little support. For the latter, make sure to pack 4 rainbow energies to take the place of the electric energy requirement. Obviously, Bronzong from Triumphant would make its way into the former.

DRL is brilliant when used in conjunction with Warp Point, getting it out for free while simultaneously forcing your opponent to give up something they want, and getting 2 prize cards to boot. Warp Energy, Cyclone Energy, and Super Scoop Up are all suitable additions as well. Azelf LV.X gets rid of the weakness.
With the possibility of DPL hitting the metagame soon, DRL may become popular for its ability to take twice as many prizes: you'll need it if you're trying to get 10.

Well this is good with electrod prime that is comeing out and legend box and typhloshin prime and energy pick up so yea i like this card if stuff to help to power it up.

Today's CotD is Rayquaza & Deoxys Legend from UD, one of the more interesting and (imo) useful Legend cards out there. Statwise, 140 HP is about the minimum for a Legend (notably this is also a dual type Pokemon, being :colorless::psychic:), x2 Weakness to :colorless: and :psychic: is bad (stuff like Garchomp C Lv X OHKOs it instantly, as well as Gengar, both being 2 of the more popular decks), and :colorless::colorless::colorless: to Retreat is expensive. Space Virus is a great Poke-Body, giving you an extra prize if R/D Legend KOs something. That being said though, Oozone Buster is a tad trickey to pull off; :fire::fire::lightning::colorless: is a nasty combo of Energy to get onto him, and though it deals a powerful 150 damage (enough to KO almost any Pokemon), you have to discard all :fire: Energy on R/D Legend. Shame most of the more effective ways of retaining :fire: Energy went out the door in the format change...Typhlosion Prime can be used, but the 1 damage counter you take from his Poke-Power is icky.

Modified - 6/10 (Maybe if there were a more efficient way of getting the Energy out, it would be a lot more useful. However, that all died out last format, leaving R/D Legend a tricky one to use at best, and it has a lot of unfortunate Weaknesses)
Limited - 2/10 (Good luck not only getting both the proper parts, but then actually getting them in play. The Energy requirement is nasty as well, really the only good part about this Pokemon here is that with 2 attacks, you win...which of course in the time it takes to do those 2 attacks, you could have found a better way to win with other Pokemon or your opponent already has taken their 4 prizes)
Unlimited - 1/10 (Not much use here, ER/SER absolutely destroys this card's ability to attack, plus the Weaknesses aren't that good either)

Bubble Coat takes care of Weakness

Its weakness was my first concern as well, but IMO Azelf Lv. X might do a better job than Bubble Coat.

Anyways, the card itself looks decent. I'm not really sure how well this card would do as a main attacker. To me, it doesn't look like it could pull it off but other people have their minds set on it. It still runs into the same trouble as most other basics, namely Machamp.

As a tech, I see more potential. However, in a deck with the appropriate energy (Fire and Lightning), Rayquaza & Deoxys Legend has competition. Entei & Raikou Legend is still around, and can do a nice job sweeping bench sitters in the appropriate decks. It's a lot faster, too. Even Rayquaza (LA) is an easier fit (space-wise), easier to get into play, and attaches energy to itself. If not for a fun factor, then RDL must prove itself better than those two in a competitive environment.

Obviously, its strength is in its Body. If it's shut off, it can still get rid of any threats. 150 is enough to OHKO just about anything that sees play. Discarding all of its Fire is kinda rough... hopefully its only two, but it still makes basing a deck around it tough because you need to supply both your active RDL and whatever is getting ready on the bench. If you can't attack again, you'll need something to switch out since 3 retreat is also kinda harsh. So I see RDL's potential mostly late game. If you use it for your last two prizes, you won't need to worry about supplying any more energy. Problem is getting it ready. Maybe Shaymin UL?

Anyways, I still only see it as a fun card right now.

6/10

. . . stuff involving Stark Mountain. . .

FYI Stark Mountain can't move Energy to it - it can only move Energy to a Fire or Fighting pokemon, which DRL is not.

I'm a huge fan of this card. It can definitely make a splash as the front-runner of a deck if you really want to - but its best use is as a tech with Typhlosion Prime. Typhlosion decks often have trouble going the distance... one DRL pair and 3-4 basic Lightning Energy and you can guarantee those last two prizes are yours, almost no matter how big your target gets.

I give it an 8 out of 10 for Modified. Definitely a powerhouse.

Excellent to run with Typhlosion, Bronzong G and Drifblim. The Bronzongs even eat the damage from Typhlosion's Afterburner for RDL. Powers up in one turn. Bubble Coat takes care of Weakness and Snowpoint Temple pushes up the HP. It is the first Legend to have a legitimate shot at being the front runner in a deck.

Brongzong G doesnt work with non-Sp.

Overall this is one of the coolest legends I have seen. The art is great. If the stadium Indigo Plateau comes out in the next set this card could see increased play. Being weak to the two most prominent decks right now (Garchomp C and Gengar) make it a little weaker but overall a good card.

7/10

If the energy is on Bronzong G, you can move it to a non SP Pokemon. I believe that is what they were getting at.

But yes, I would love to see a good deck built around this legend. I may have to do that...

Wow, a Legend Card! It's been a while since we reviewed one!

140 HP is pretty good for a Legend. The double weakness does hurt, especially since it does have a :colorless: weakness, and the retreat is heavy; yet, the double-typing helps a lot.

Deoxys & Rayquaze Legend seem to be very effective when it comes to pulling off a OHKO. The body lets you take an extra prize if you KO the defending using Deoxys or Rayquaza Legend. The attack helps to make this body effective. It does 150 for four (requering two :fire:, 1 :lightning:, and 1 :colorless: to be exact), and then you discard all energies attached to the Legend afterwards. Well, this card is certainly quite awesome since 150 is sure guaranteed to give you two prizes, but the energy cost is a bit disappointing.

Overall 6/10 in modified, 3/10 in limited, and 3/10 in unlimited

In modified, this card is quite decent. It is definitely a useful attacker, especially being able to literally give you 2 prizes guaranteed in one game. It might even give you an opportunity to take 3 or more prizes. That is, if the defending has an Expert Belt attached. Overall damage calculation is pretty good, which is really what makes it good. The problems sadly include the fact it is weak to Garchomp C, and you need lots of energies to attack and retreat, so it is not very speedy in attacking. Despite this, this card can possibly make a good rogue deck.

In limited, this card is a bit below average. Like all Legends in limited, it suffers from the fact it is hard to get out, so pulling it out will be pretty tough. However, there is Legend Box, which helps to grab Pokemon Legends, so that's why its rating is not a 2/10. Like the usual, it can take lots of prizes, and with the 4 prize limit here, Rayquaza and Deoxys Legend has the potential to turn the game around to your favor.

In unlimited, this card is still a bit below average. Yes it can still be an excellent attacker, as well as the fact it has an awesome typing, but there are many ways this card can be countered. In fact, with so many fast attacker here, it is quite possible for this Legend to go down even before it attacks. Despite this, this can still be fearsome here, and with lots of EX Pokemon here, Rayquaza and Deoxys Legend can definitely be good in some cases.

This guy is crazy. I would be excited to throw him in my Ursaring/ Typhlosion deck if he took RR + DCE instead of RE + DCE.
