@cheif autoparts: Dialga G X won't be able to stop the new "abilities" that Pokemon are getting. Neither will they be able to be power sprayed. Basically Abilities are a completely new thing. It's definitely one way to make the new Pokemon more relevant to the game since they're not blockable by the normal SP means... or blockable at all, really.

Honestly, I see HGSS greats making a big appearance. Donphan Prime and Jumpluff are my top 2 picks for next season, rare candy neuter, lack of BTS or not.

Jumpluff doesn't stand a chance in next years slower format. I'd rather base a deck round Cincinno's main attack. Donphan will definitley see play, but he won't be top tier. He'll probabaly be played as a tech card.

Jumpy's one of the few decks that has Pokemon-based speed support in the next format (Sunflora), along with Typhlosion (Ninetales) and Magnezone (duh).

I still think that Arceus will be dominant in a format without the Cyrus Engine, but I'm weird...

Dude, sunflora HG/SS will give a nice boost to grass. Fighting tag will help Donphan/Machamp

I can see donphan/combee doing well next format imo, freaking awesome possiblities in that.

Stage 2 decks will not fare well on the grand scale of things next format. How do you propose a deck like jumpfluff can compete with Yanmega? They'll be no BTS and errated rare candy, lets not forget that catcher will hurt stage 2 setup decks tremendously next format. Stage 1/Haymaker(ish) and Mew Prime decks are likely to be the best play assuming we get a HGSS-ON format.

I completely agree with that (the Arceus being dominant part, not the weird part, but I suppose that could be true too!). If we get a RR-on or AR-on format this year/next year, Arceus will be VERY good.

Another thing to remember is that if the format is RR-on or AR-on we'll still have Spiritomb in the format to help stage 2 decks. It's not as good as playing BTS and quick-evolving everything, but it does significantly speed up evolution and has built-in search.

That said, I definitely agree that Arceus has the ability to be a top deck if SP is rotated. It's just amazingly fast and has so much support.

I've witnessed Arceus beating Luxchomp, Sablelock, and holding its own versus Dialgachomp at this current moment, so I definitely don't think you're weird. I think a proper comment would be: "I still think that Arceus will be dominant in a format without Machamp around.."

However, Jumpluff with Cinccino around? Jumpluff is a Stage 2 with the same hit points. Cinccino doesn't get hurt by Rare Candy and will swing for 100 pretty much every turn 2. So much easier to swarm that.

You know what really screws up Arceus?

Dittobolic Ditto. ;)

says "no!" to ripple swell.

Also, I'm not sure if anyone else has mentioned or if this is even possible(haven't read into the B/W rules thoroughly yet) but if it becomes PT-On, wouldn't Dialga G Lv.X have Trainer, Stadium and Ability Lock?

All that except the Ability lock. It won't do that.
