90HP is standard for Leafeon. It is its only HP printed since MD except for the lvX. This one's attacks just fall short of past versions. Too bad for such a pokemon that--like all eevee evolutions--is easily on the more popular side.

Probably should have been a league promo.
wow, it's been 10 months since I wrote that. Feels like it wasn't that long ago.

Maybe the rise of :grass:-weak pokemon inspired a second look, but I don't understand why a second look at Leafeon. Virizion would have been a much better. But Leafeon?

Retreat Cost: With :colorless: retreat, it isn't going to move around very easily.

Attacks: Energy Assist only finds basic energy cards so you won't be recycling Plasma Energy cards with it.

Bottom attributes:
:water:-resistance does not matter because its HP is too low. The only :water: Pokemon that would be attacking it (Blastoise and Keldeo EX) already hit for OHKO after resistance. :fire:-weakness actually doesn't hurt it too much because a lot of the basic and stage 1 don't OHKO it even after the x2 modifier. The extra damage will of course make Leafeon squirm but it will survive.

Should have been a league promo.

4/10

Attacks are cheap, but too underwhelming to be much of a threat. Energy acceleration is nice, but all it does is move the card from terrible to below average.
