Poor Quagsire is basically like a watered-down (puns abound) version of Bouffalant.

5/10 because it's usable, and not horrendous in a water deck, but there are better cards and the restrictions aren't very good.

I could just line them up and compare side-by-side. Laid-back is an excellent ability, but the HP isn't so great. The weakness is pretty good, but the issue is Mud Gun- it seems like it should be DCE or Blastoise compatible, but in order to get the full effect you have to have a fighting energy attached. It could help if you used WLFM Blend, but not a whole lot, and the big issue is that Quagsire A) Can't be used turn 1 and B) Can't use eviolite.

In short, it's evolved, which is an immediate downside :(

4/10

Not a horrible card. Can hit the magic 90 and has a nice defensive ability. Unfortunately, it won't see play. Bouffalant has the same ability, a better attack, and is a basic that can be splashed into any deck (thanks to it's colorless typing). Why would you even bother with this?
