70 HP, doesn't evolve, takes two energies to lock a pokemon in, something that is easily overcome nowadays. I mean, maybe your goal is to have them waste Switch early game or rush in an energy-less keldeo to somehow prevent a KO. I don't see it. Hopefully someone else can show me what's up.

I take it back, this is the worst card in the set. Horribly weak attacks and low HP. The retreat lock is done better with Snorlax or even Plasma Durant (PS). Only good thing is no weakness (keeps it from being a one).

Stick with the Dark Explorers Sableye.

This is easily the worst rare you can pull in all of the Black and White sets. I wonder if this is Pokemon's sick attempt at a joke to make the lousiest "rare" possible. This troll of a card would rather have me buy singles instead of wasting money on a pack that could possibly have this abomination in my rare spot. Why is this sableye so bad you may ask?

For starters, it has the most underwhelming attacks I have ever seen on a rare card. The first attack, scratch only does a vanilla 10 damage for 1 energy. Guess what? Common pokemon such as tepig and starly have the exact same move. The second attack, shadow cage only does 20 for 2 energy with the most negligible effect ever, not letting your opponent retreat for the next turn. It is negligible because switch is used in mostly every deck and you can simply get out of the effect. Not to mention, switch is a common card. Also, I do not think anyone would want to retreat in fear of a pokemon who has lousy damage output.

The only interesting thing about troll sableye is that it has no weakness. Well, so does base set gastly, and he is considered to be one of the worst cards of all time. Like base set gastly, sableye's low hp undermines any chance he has of taking multiple hits let alone trapping your opponent with the feeble shadow cage move. I know DEX sableye has the same stats, but he is actually a useful support pokemon and happens to be an uncommon.

This card is down right abysmal for the rarity it was given. Not even all the plasma support can save him, why waste a colress machine? Seriously, what was pokemon thinking!?

1/10

artwork (only redeeming quality) :8/10

If a pokemon with psychic resistance without the ability to attack ever gets printed, then this card might find a niche. For now; 1/10.

How does pokemon follow up junk hunt sableye or even pull out sableye with this?! Poor poor excuse of a card.
1/10 for usefulness in any format
8/10 for art
