Pokémon TCG: Sword and Shield—Brilliant Stars

3 Regionals? Seriously?

That's also an opinion. I agree that it is generally a bad thing when playing the game draws a penalty, but I don't think it's worth replacing with a system that rewards you for playing often. The bigger the BFLs, the more opportunities to attend high-reward events, and the more points that are given for small events, the more Championship Points become frequent flyer miles. I don't think you should be able to buy an invite with frequent flyer miles.

And yes this is all my opinion. For a more substantive argument about consistency, see my last post.

But your last post was all based upon your opinion that I quoted (or, so I felt).

In any case, yeah, I guess my statement was an opinion, but it was an opinion I'm pretty sure P!P shares, so there you have it.

You don't want to have Mountain West in the winter. Snowstorms abound.

His point is rather badly being misrepresented, most of all by himself.

His point should be that, with 3 Regional Championship weekends, there should be more than 15 Regional Championships so that players have a chance at actually making it to all 3.

This is definitely somthing that could have been considered before they switched from 2 weekends to 3. However adding too many more could caue conequences in the prizes. Especially if the first place gets a free trip to nationals. Imagine how many more free trips they'd have to pay for. Regardless it's just gonna be messy for several players. I know just from psaking from personal experience that theres no way i can make it to any of the october regionals. They're all a 15+ hours drive from me. However I'm fornunate enough to live in Orlando when it comes time for the winter regionals. I can only hope that the Georgia one is scheduled for one of the other dates in hopes to attend.

Georgia is in April.

To be able to participate in nats you have to be a citizen of said country, Don't you? Would it be an insane notion to apply the same restrictions to events like regionals or even states? Isn't it a little weird for the winner of, for example, Florida states to be from Maine, or the winner of mountaib West regionals to be from Florida? These examples are obviously fictional.

You just have to be a legal resident. For example, I'm not American, but I play in US nationals. I have never played in the nationals of the country where I'm from. Someone who has a student visa or work visa would also be a legal resident.

Pokemon website said:
The Pokémon TCG U.S. National Championships is open to legal residents of the U.S. only. Residency in this case is defined as a person who legally resides in the United States or one of its territories, not necessarily a U.S. citizen
