You know what bothers me? That the P.O.P offices are closed on the weekends. I mean think about it; something goes wrong with the O.P software, (And you know it does) and there is no one to contact about it on the spot to make the correction. To make things worse, all our Pokemon premier events are held on the weekends so errors, our more likely to happen again.

Yeah, I know everyone is entitled to a weekend off from work epically if you were working all week but as a paying customer and active premier Pokemon Tcg player, I demand the most from my product, and the company that supports it.

If you are wondering where I am coming from with this, I was recently affected by a Pokemon glitch in the software during a Battle roads tournament and I was analyzing the situation the head judge was doing, to solve the problem. It seems, if she was able to get in contact with the programmers who wrote the software, she would have been able to fix the problem on site, rather than allowing a competitor take the software error.

So in my closing statement; yes, patches will always help software but what we really need from the Pokemon software, is the function to adjust anything on site, that was reported wrong during any part of the tournament.
As a counter to corrupt judges, I thought of an idea. Make the software connect online to P.O.P reps, so that they will be able to view any reports live and adjustments made during a match reporting error.

    Thoughts? ...:pokeball:

*Edit* had to change,no one was staying on the topic and did not want to get locked.

You know what really grinds my gears? This Lindsay Lohan. Lindsay Lohan with all those little outfits, jumping around there on stage, half-naked with your little outfits. Ya know? You're a...You're out there jumping around and I'm just sitting here with my beer. So, what am I supposed to do? What you want? You know, are we gonna go out? Is that what you're trying to - why why are you leaping around there, throwing those things all up in my, over there in my face? What do you want, Lindsay? Tell me what you want? Well, I'll tell you what you want, you want nothing. You want nothing. All right? Because we all know that no woman anywhere wants to have sex with anyone, and to titillate us with any thoughts otherwise is - is just bogus."

  9. Really now.... POP office opened on weekends.... What a cute thought....

    Keep this in mind.....

    TIME ZONES!

If a tounament is supose to start at 10:30 am in EUROPE!. And someone is supose to be in the office (which is on the west coast of the USA) to handle software problems, they will have to be there at 1:30 in the morning..... Not a fun idea for the poor soul(s) is/who are in the office.....

If you want someone in the office, there needs to be some one there 24 hours a day since a tounament can happen at any time around the world, again- cute thought won't happen. The people at the POP office do a really great job making the game what it is, they deserve the weekend off.

I think the PTOs know how to handle situtions if they arise. If all else fails and the softwere has a major problem I belive the tounament can be run by hand (Don't quote me on this, I am not 100% sure on this) using this resorce- http://www.go-pokemon.com/op/tournaments/docs/2007-2008/Tournament_Operation_Procedures.pdf. It may take a little longer but it should insure a fairness for all and the intergty of the game will remain intacted. And if before anyone even says- "How will they break the ties?", That doucument explans the procedures for cacluateing the tie breaks.

^Hmm, really? When I write emails to P.O.P it clearly states that they are closed on the weekends. They would make that up why? If I am wrong, I am sorry but thats the info I have.

Usually if something major needs to be done a pto will have a phone number of a POP rep.
For Regionals (sometimes) Nationals and Worlds, a pop rep will be there.

PTOs should take advantage of the contacts that are offered to them via the PTO forums on the POP boards.

I know I get phone calls on Saturdays and Sundays regarding card rulings.
And I know that I make phone calls myself when it comes to TOM issues.

    The resources are out there.

Pokemon is a game to us, and we might want the most out of the OP program, but it is a job for the staff at POP- I'm sure they love it, but im sure they enjoy having social lives on weekends too :)

Not much can be done about it. If something goes wrong do things manually and inform POP- im sure it wouldnt be an issue. To get the most from your game you sometimes have to work around glitches and things like that.

  14. I never said they were open on the weekend.
