A quick question (fic-related)

Okay, some of you might or might not remember my old pokefic. Doesn't really matter or not if you do, but I thought I'd open with something other than my question. My question is, though, what's this board's whole policy and, for that matter, opinion on the topic of shounen-ai? Literally it means "boy-love", basically nongraphic male homosexual couplings. Nothing too severe, not more than you'd get in a "normal" couple at any rate. Main reason for my asking is that the protagonist swings that way (well, actually both ways, if you get the meaning) and it'd kill the fic later on to edit it out.

Personally, I'm not comfortable with it on a site that has to worry about Coppa issues.
If it were on an adult site, I'd have no problem with it at all. But, although we have many, many adult members, we also have a lot of minors as members.

So that's the whole issue in general, then? Personally I can't see how shounen-ai could be unsuitable for minors as it is—that is, unless male/female romance fics are also in the same situation, I'd keep everything under PG anyways—but if it's still not suitable for this site, then I won't fight the issue.

The biggest question is - are regular (heterosexual) romance fics allowed, ie Ash&Misty fics and the like? If they are, disallowing this would be discrimination by sexual orientation, which although legal in the United States could easily get this place shut down because of it being illegal in many other countries. Just my advice.

Well, I figure I'll try it out anyways. It's not a romance fic primarily (just as a secondary theme to add more to the plot), and in any case there's nothing more than you'd find in a normal, <PG rated fic.
