Annihilape EX - Angry Grudge - Damage Counters

Card text: Angry Grudge -"Put up to 12 damage counters on this Pokémon. This attack does 20 damage for each damage counter you placed in this way."

Does this effect carry onto the next turn? Lets say my Annihilape uses all 12 on an attack, dealing 240 Damage. My Annihilape stands on it's next turn and I use Angry Grudge again on the next swing, it still has damage counters from the previous turn that were placed from Angry Grudge, could those be factored into the damage? Or is it just the damage counters you place for that turn specifically?

No. You would have to place more Damage Counters during the attack to do damage based on how many you placed during this attack.
Note that you can put more counters Annihilpage ex (not that it is lower case. EX is a different mechanic) than it has HP remaining.
