Any Chicago-area player interested in a weekly Woodfield Mall gathering?

So, I was at Woodfield Mall today in Schaumburg, near Chicago, and I was talking with the guys in Gamers World. Gamers World is a small gaming store within the mall that hosts weekly Yu-Gi-Oh and Magic tournaments, and they said that they were thinking of starting up a Pokémon tournament on Sundays.

So, I'm just posting to gauge interest for this. Is anyone in the area interested?
 
CCNC > J-00. Still, it'd be nice to have League in the place where League originated (+10 anybody that understands the reference)

I'm aware that CCNC hosts a League on the same day each week... however, the impression I got was that the league would be held later in the evening.
 
I am interested, but I play the unlimited format which is something no one really plays other than me and a bunch of my friends... : \

I did ask the people at Gamer's world about 2-3 months about about starting weekly pokemon tournaments, and they gave me the same answer as you...

so yeah... seems like they haven't made any progress in the last 2-3 months from what I see from your post
 
I'll be moving to Evanston soon, so whatever area is easiest to get to for me when I'll only have bike and public transit would be good...
 
I don't think it will ever happen at Gamers World. I stopped in to pick up some packs one day, and the manager asked if I'd participate in tournaments if he threw them. He didn't know about go-pokemon.com or being a T.O. or even how to judge one. Also had no clue that people might expect prizes for wininng....
 
lol, that's hilarious...

xuii2thecleric... is it schaumburg library? or?

also Evanston is really far away from woodfield mall, probably a good 40 minute or more drive
