How it began: The story of Ash's father

Chapter one

Once upon a time, there was a young Pikachu who lived in Pallet Town, now known by the name of Sparky. He lived a happy and carefree life, one in which he coul be considered one of the most fun Pikachu in the forest near Pallet Town, where he lived, His life was both fulfilling and at the same time, empty. Oh, he sought a mate every year during mating season, just like every other male Pikachu did. The females were usually the ones in waiting, not choosing, but being chosen. However, he never found a female who interested him enough. That is, until he met her.
She was a young girl, no older than 10, who was lost in the forest where the Pikachu lived. Her name was Delia Ketchum. Sparky had never beheld such a beautiful and wonderous sight such as this girl, despite her youngness, and he felt the strange and sudden urge to wipe away the tears from her face, lest they destroy the beauty that enchanted him so. Instead, Sparky led her out of the forest, and she thanked him with a kiss on the cheek before running home. Sparky, who thought he would be relieved by this good deed to go home, instead felt the strange need to follow her home. When she arrived there, Sparky hid in a tree outside of her house, and watched her through the many windows. Strangely, she seemed to remain in rooms where he could easily see her, though she had no idea why. Then, the answer presented itself, when a large man who appeared to be Delia's father walked through one of the inner doors, and began yelling at her, and then switched from words to fists, striking her repeatedly. Delia's frightened mother watched in fear, doing absolutely nothing, as it was clear that if she tried, it would only end in her being next. Sparky was forced to watch the spectacle, tears in his eys, until finally he could not take it any longer. The young Pikachu ran into the middle of traffic and began yelling loudly, attracting a small group of people who were walking along. He then led them to Delia's house at fast pace, and broke down the door with a swift Iron Tail, and showed the people the cruel man, beating poor Delia. Instead of stopping, the man just smiled, and continued what he was doing. Sparky responded to that injustice with a fit of rage, accompanied by a Volt Tackle attack which knocked the man down, unconcious, and saving Delia and her mother. And thus, after her father was dragged away, Delia offered Sparky to stay with her, since he had proven to be a good friend, and a good protector. Sparky smiled, realizing that his was an act of pure love, and that it was not as confusing as he thought. Sparky the Pikachu, was in love with a human. He accepted Delia's offer simply to be near her, and accepted the hug that followed with open arms.

Will Sparky find happiness with his new love, despite the differences between them? What will become of Delia's father? Will anyone get this soap reference, or where this last joke comes from? Stay tuned to find out.

Why do you keep reffering to the Eevee dance? Anyway, just wait and see. You'll understand how love can conquer all in cming chapters. You forget, this isn't just a story about Ash's father, it's a love story too. So humph.

Edit: Oh, I almopst forgot. I finished the next chapter. Enjoy.

Chapter Two

Young Sparky enjoyed his new life with Delia and her mother. They would play all day, stopping only to eat, and then at night, Delia would climb into bed, and Sparky would crawl under the covers with her and they would drift into sleep. That summer was a good one, and Sparky was living every second of it with the girl he loved. But of course, nothing good lasts forever, and neither did the summer. Eventually, fall came, and Delia had to go to school. Without the father around, Delia's mother Elain had to work during the day, and since both school and work had no pokemon allowed policies, Sparky was forced to remain at home alone all day, all the while missing Delia. Even when she came home, they couldn't play, because Delia's homework got in the way, plus baths, dinner, and she often went over to new friends houses as well. Thus, Sparky was alone and miserable for days at a time. On one such day, late into the fall, when the biting tastes of winter first began to set their eyes on Pallet, that Sparky could no longer take it. Early in the morning, Sparky awoke, and snuck into Delia's already prepared backpack. He waited there for about half an hour, until Delia woke up herself. He heard from the bedroom a shuffling of feet, followerd by somewhat frantic searching until those same feet shuffled out into the kitchen, where Elain was cooking breakfast.
"Hey Mom, have you seen Sparky anywhere? I can't find him." Delia asked with a worried tone that made Sparky elated to know that she was concerned for him.
"No dear." Elain replied. "But I'm sure he'll turn up somewhere. He's probably just looking for a game of hide and seek. When he figures out that you've left for school he'll probably come out."
"You're probably right. He does love hide and seek." Sparky snickered at the notion. All those games were paying off. "Well, I'd better be off to school. I don't want to be late for the bus." Sparky then retreated to the corner of the large pack he was in and got ready for a ride. Delia picked it up, slung it over her shoulder, and walked out the door. Finally able to relax, Sparky nestled his head against Delia's ham sandwich, picked up Delia's book, and began to read (Yes, he can read.) This was gonna be a long trip, if Delia's descriptions hadn't been exaggerated.

the eevee dance is scary...
...nice story...

Yeah, it is kind of.
Chapter Three

Apparently Delia had exaggerated. The trip to the bus stop was barely a minute long, and the bus itself was only a ten minute trip. Sparky understood why it seemed so much longer to her though. The shakiness of the bus was so intense that Sparky couldn't hold his book still, and was bored fo the entire trip, however short it may have been. The excitement didn't begin, however, until the school day started. When the bus finally arrived at school, Sparky eagerly waited for an opportunity to jump out of the backpack. Unfortunately, that was frustratingly long. Delia had a pen in her pocket so she didn't need to go into her pack for that, the teacher handed out papers for the pop quiz (which, from all the groans in the classroom, Sparky deemed a bad thing), so that wasn't needed, Delia didn't even go after Sparky's sandwhich pillow. Honestly, your mom goes to the trouble of making you a sandwhich for lunch, and then you don't need it. Finally, Sparky's opportunity arrived when the teacher called for silent reading time. Delia reached for her backpack and opened it up, and Sparky gave his much mentally rehearsed grand entrance, jumping out of the backpack and into Delia's arms immediately upon her opening the backpack. After that entrance, whilst eveeryone else was thouroughly cnfused, Sparky took the opportunity to look around. The classroom was simple, four walls painted a ghastly shade of green (not to be confused with the pokemon Ghastly), as was the ceiling, making it look completely hideous. Low on the walls were a small bunch of shelves, all lined with books that appeared to be similar to the ones Delia brought home from school to study from. Scattered around the room in a pattern were several desks, most of which had children in them, including Delia. Up on the front wall was an odd dark green board with white writing on it, and in front of that was a very stern looking old woman who must have been the teacher. That same teacher was giving Sparky and Delia the evil eye.
"Sparky! What are you doing here?" Delia said with a heavy tone of surprise in her voice. "I told you, they don't allow pokemon in school."
"Pika, Pi." Sparky replied, which translates into "I just missed you." Delia caught the implication from Sparky's tone, and sighed, then smiled. The teacher, however, was not so kind hearted.
"MISS KETCHUM! You know the rules. No pokemon in class. Get that filthy, disgusting, unevolved... thing out of my classroom right this instant!" Now, Sparky just couldn't take that, and neither could Delia. Sparky jumped out of her arms and ran over to the teacher, smiled pleasently, sayiing "Pika, Pikachu," or "Well, this is what I think of you," and blasted the teacher with a powerful thunderbolt. The shock knocked the teacher over, stunned. Delia ran over and helped the teacher up. Then she said
"That was what Sparky thinks of you. Here's what I think." and then promptly delivered an uppercut to her nose. Both Delia and Sparky were sent to the principal's office, and she turned out to be a pretty nice lady, keeping Delia's punishment to a single detention and one day suspension. The teacher, who Sparky later found out was named Mrs. Pocater, or, as some of the kids liked to call her, Pokehater, since she was so prejudiced against Pokemon, was outraged that Delia hadn't been expelled, or that Sparky hadn't been hauled away by some sort of animal control, which made Sparky even angrier, since he was mostt certainly not an animal. She completely lost control at the principal, Mrs. Landry, and got herself fired. All of her students were pleased to hear that, and actually threw a big party that night, to which Sparky and Delia were made V.I.P.s, since it was all because of them. In the end, Delia's new teacher, Ms. Honeydew (I know, lame name) was much nicer, and allowed the students to bring smaller pokemon in to class every day, thus solving Sparky's problem of being left alone every day,. and he got to spend even more time with Delia, something he can never refuse.

All right, if you want to debate theories, go to HERE, but don't do it here.

Chapter 4

Sparky knew Delia wouldn't be a little girl forever. He had had multiple friends in the forest who had played with the humans in Pallet only for them to grow up and leave. But when it came to be Delia's time, the day she turned 18, and decided to go to college in Sinnoh, Sparky couldn't bear the thought of having to live without her, especially since it meant being stuck with her mother, who was wat one might describe as "cukoo-pants", and since it meant a long goodbye. In order to avoid those, Sparky ignored the pain it caused, and, on the evening before she was meant to leave, Sparky ran from the Ketchum house, tears flowing from his eyes, back to his home in the forest. But, at the edge of the forest, he forced himself to stop, and looked back at the town. Even from the distance from the house he was at, he could still hear Delia calling to him. Sparky closed his eyes, blinking away the fresh tears swelling up, and turned around in an attempt to run again. He was stopped, however, by a small pink body hovering right in front of him. When Sparky looked up, he saw a face only described in Pokemon legend, the ancestor of all pokemon. Mew.
"Pika, Pikachu." Sparky knelt respectfully as he said this, which translates into "Mother. I am honored."
"Mew, Mew Mew." Mew inclined her head as she spoke. "Arise young one." "Mew Mew Mew, Mew Mew Mew Mew." "I sense what is troubling you, your love for the human Delia, and her leaving. I can help you with this."
"Pika, Pika Pi?" "I am sorry Mother, but is this within your capabilities, to help a pokemon be with a human?" Sparky asked.
"Mew Mew Mew Mew Mew." "How do you think I created my children? Through the power of my mind. I can help you, turn you into a human to be with your love. But, are you really willing to sacrifice your power for the love of a human, which is often as meaningless as that silly Splash attack I came up with?"
"Pika Pi, Pi Pika Pika Pi Pikachu." "For this love, I would give up the treasures of the world." Sparky replied as sincerely as one could imagine possible. So Mew began to concentrate it's energy, the same energy that had created the Pokemon, and used it to reshape Sparky into human form. At the end of it, Sparky was no longer a Pikachu, but a young man of about 18, with short black hair and a well muscled body. Mew had been kind enough to provide clothes for Sparky, which consisted of a pair of jeans and a white t-shirt, nothing fancy. Looked at his new body, and then loked up to thanks Mew for her kindness, but she had already left. Sparky turned to Palet Town with a smile on his face, but this dissappeared when Mew's voice sut clearly through his head, saying "I must warn you, the body is an unstable thing. If your love gives birth to a child, you will return to your former state as a Pikachu, and forget your love ever existed." Well, that cut off Sparky's plans for the future.
