Will azelf X see much play out of the deck AMU?
gets rid of of psychic weakness and can snipe for the popular leafeon variants we are about to see?yea it will
What would work with it?
It can be teched into gardy. And It's attack can be used in spread decks epecially tentacrule. The normal one is going to be teched into a lot of decks too becuase of it's great power.
Yes, it is a really good tech outside of amu, the normal one's power is too hard to refuse and this one can snipe and get rid of weakness.
Azelf Lv.X will see a good amount of play outside of UMA.
a 1-1 line will most likely see play in Psychic Decks to get rid of weakness, maybe like in Mewtwo.
This card goes GREAT in TurnCruel because of all the energy attaching and spreading that you are already doing, Azelf just piles up on that as well
Holy chinchilas, Achilas
I can't see this card being to wide spread of a tech. For one thing, it's only really worth it in sychic: decks, and Deep Balence, the only good attack, isn't reliable.
And I also don't see what's so great about Time Walk. Azelf is pretty mediochre, so I can't see it being much of a hit.
What looking in your prizes to see what you have prized + the bonus of being able to take it out... thats really medicore... And the level Xs attack is great against energy accel decks. The LvX's body is a big bonus.
But we keep talking like it's actualy worth 2 or 4 spots in any deck other than sychic:...
No, the normal Azelf is worth a spot in many other decks. And it goes in TurnCruel very well.
The basic Azelf (Time Walk) will see a decent amount of play as a tech card. I see no reason to really play more than one (unless you are running AMU). The ability to take one card out of your prizes and replace it with another card has some other strategy benefits besides the ability to see your prizes and get your pokemon. I intend to use that ability to stash away a card I will need later, or to safe guard a card if I wager (and I know I will take a prize that turn). Azelf Lv.X may also be worth adding in (along with a psychic energy) for late game sniping. The fact that it can hit anything is what really makes the card.

We're talking about the LvX, so ...
I think it's very useful, but won't be used alot because X is not that great of an attacker unless you're figuring to be up against an old school Blissey or Magmorar deck! Then, it's pretty beast
Alot of the new decks don't have much energy on the field. Seems like there's 4 or 5 out there at best, so, the basic Azelf is useful and worth the plug-in, but the X is good in Psychic to take away weakness (and even THATs not spectacular unless you have a x2 weakness issue).
Good question
4/5 damage counters to any pokemon wins games. IMO Azelf and the lv.x are just about the greatest tech line I have EVER seen. It can go in just about any deck, and when used in a psychic deck, its AMAZING.
If there was any 1-1 line that almost every deck should run, its Azelf. For the record a 1-1 Uxie lv.x tech isnt bad either for most decks to use.
Didn't say it wasn't a good tech. Just saying there are SO MANY OPTIONS out there now for so many kinds of decks. Why run an Azelf LvX in an electric deck if you can run a Lanturn and spread while staying consistant with pokemon type (and energy)?
I know WE BOTH know the benefits of Azelf LvX, but it's not the LA answer to Claydol where every deck needs one to keep up w/ status quo .. either.
By the way, we've GOT to play a side game w/ our "Rogue as heck" AMU decks when we meet up at some point in VA battle roads. You're in Masters right? It would be just SILLY if we were first match-up..
Problem with Azelf Lv.X is that it's absolutely useless against Kingdra.
