Befriend Arceus in the Dream World

Fail people. So we get a Pokemon only for uber that or collection I wonder what I'm going to do with it

I can't believe anyone decided to even vote for it when 1.) We can't use it. 2.) it has no DW Ability. Not cool at all.
 
Wonder why everyone voted for Arceus...kinda boring. Not to mention it knocked off the all-time popular Pikachu if that's true.
 
I don't think anyone voted for it. I thing it was planned to release it from the start. Any competitive player would not vote for it, kids would vote for like Pikachu, Charizard and other dragons and maybe Mewtwo.

I know someone who voted Ditto 500 times. I say it was rigged. You do know people complained for not having one they can legally train right?

I agree with this. Most players didn't care for Arceus when it was originally released, so this is to get an Arceus into the Pokedex.


I expect a Shaymin release in May, a Keldeo release in June/July, and a Darkrai release in October.

Main problem is they like to sync up legendary releases with the crappy movies, and I don't think Genosect or Meloetta for that matter haven't been mentioned in any just yet. So they will eventually get released, just a matter of when...
 
Well, considering the options they have for releasing Pokemon such as at TRU, Gamestop, Dw, Wifi- it is kind of hard to say how/where/when Pokies will become available let alone what countries will get what Pokies for any specific reason.

Since most of the Legendary Pokies are not so easy to access without having to go throgh alot of work and using so many games to do so, the trend seems to be to release Pokies that by-pass all that work so that the new gen of players will have something to look forword to to keep them playing.

Just because 1mill plus carts sell, does not mean that all 1mill plus are all in the competative scene. I remember how long it took just to get a legit Mew for the first time. Yes, I do not think that it matters what the competative community thinks or has to say when it comes to what Pokies are scheduled to be released since our numbers are so minimal compared to the general public.

Most of the event Pokies are not even useable or worth the time to us competative players, and event Pokemon are mostly novalty or Pokedex reasons or trade value. IMO, the three dogs are good release Pokies for battle worthyness since the move sets are worth making them playable.

As long as the competative players are out-numbered, we do not have much to look forword to for these kind of things.
Sure, release Genosect, it'll sit in my PC foreever cuz it will never see the light to be allowed to use in the competative scene anyways.

For the video game, releases like this Arceus is like the novalty cards such as the one seen here:http://pokegym.net/forums/showthread.php?t=158896

I think what should be done is that at large events where the VGC is supported, they should have a battle worthy Pokemon with something special move set wise as a small token for attending. (dont get me wrong on this next sentence): Sure, shiny Eevee and shiny Milotic are cool and all, and battle worthy to an extent, but like in Japan- they get a good amount of Pokies that we never see here in the US. Although I do see an increase in DW Pokies being distributed world-wide, I hope we get some more goodies that will fit into our competative side of things for the game sake.

Besides, we all should know that "God" always wins in a poll, right? ( I know, I know, but, whatever!:wink:)

For your Mew example depends which generation you're talking about...the original legit Mew was available as a download during the Nintendo Pokemon Mall Tours back in 1999, so actually waiting a mere year is hardly that bad.
 
The first Mew that was legit that I got was at TRU. That was a long time ago, but a long wait since RBY days...

Can someone please tell me what "befriend arceus" is? I play the games with my nine year old and hes been fixated on arceus for months- and looking forward to this for weeks. I need to know so I can do damage control if necessary, will he actually be able to get the pokemon? If nit, can anybody tell me how we can get him? Thank you so much.

You are a bit early buddy.

The "Befriend Arceus" will be an event that happens in February. Today is the last day of January, so it is not yet available.

So February 1st you will need to go to http://en.pokemon-gl.com/ to receive Arceus in your pokemon Black or White game. There should be instructions on how to do it when it becomes available.
