I know I'm a little behind but I recently got the first 12 episodes of B&W on DVD and one thing I quickly noticed was the similarities between it and the first season.

1. Ash has no idea how to catch pokemon.

2. He got Torpig when it's trainer abandoned for not not being strong enough.

3. The guy traveling with him was a gym leader that likes to cook (Brock) and ran the gym with his brothers (Misty).

Anyone else notice any?
 
And then there's the girl who treats him poorly but still respects him as a trainer, Iris. She always has a young Pokemon out of it's ball (Axew), and thinks way too highly of herself.

Yeah, I noticed.

I'm surprised they even try at this point to maintain the show. I realise it's a kids show but come on.

They need to make a new anime for older fans. With bigger more intense battles, hotter girls, better animations, mild curse words...
You know. a real anime :cool: And, most importantly, a teenage, more mature less inept Trainer who doesn't reboot his skill level
every season. :nonono:

I was in love with Pokemon Chronicles, simply because it was something different from the everyday formula... and that it wasn't Ash :biggrin:

And that then they just dangle that Black and White 2 game/anime trailer in our faces...

I almost agree with this, except for the mild curse word part(And I am raising my eyebrow at the 'hotter girls' part). Why one earth should there be curse words? Can't they find better adjectives for things? :/
 
Kay maybe I was a little enthusiastic with that. My bad. I was kinda jokin' around. :tongue:

But in all serious, it just needs to break away from how it's been the past few years.
 
Just animate the Pokemon Adventures manga. That should satisfy just about everything you're talking about.
