Hey, ill quote the compendium rules:

"BLAINE'S LAST RESORT (Gym: Heroes Expansion)

Q. Can you play Blaine's Last Resort if you have another Blaine's Last Resort in your Hand? Cause Since it says you can't use it if you have no cards in your hand other than "Blaine's Last Resort" and the one in your hand simply bypasses it. If not, why do you have to state to show your hand when you don't have any cards in your hand when you play it?
A. Yes you can play Blaine's Last Resort if you have another in your hand. (August 17, 2000 WotC Chat Q94)"

but i still have the doubt.

An example:

suposse i have 4 card in my hand: 2 fire energy, one super potion and Blaine´s Last Resort. May i play it? so, i show my hand and draw 5 cards ??

Or i have to have ONLY (1 card in my hand) and it must be blaine´s last resort in order to play it? i mean, if i have 1 card in my hand and that card is the mentioned trainer, how can i show mi hand if i dont have any other cards in my hand to show?? The text in the card is so confuse and after read the rules, i can´t solve my doubt.

You may only play Blaine's Last Resort if your hand is composed of one or two cards that are Blaine's Last Resort. This can be a one-card hand of one copy of Blaine's Last Resort, or a two-card hand of two copies of Blaine's Last Resort. You show your hand to prove to your opponent that the only remaining card or cards in your hand are copies of Blaine's Last Resort, then draw 5 cards.

The ruling was regarding the ambiguous state of if Blaine's Last Resort had to be the only card left in your hand, as per more modern cards, such as Archie's Ace in the Hole or Maxie's Hidden Ball Trick.

so, i can only use it if it is the only card of my hand, if my hand is composed by 1 card and that card is blaine last resort, im right?

That was the intent of the card; however, the ruling you posted says you can also have a hand made of two of that card, play one, show your hand of the other one, then draw 5 cards.

You could have 4 cards in your hand, all Blaine's Last Resort.
You play one of them, putting it down on the play field (so many people don't understand this is the proper way to play a Trainer...) and then show your hand, composed of three other BLRs. Since there is no card in your hand other than ones named "Blaine's Last Resort", you can proceed to draw 5 cards.
If even one of the cards in your hand was something else, like a basic Energy card, then you would not be able to play the BLR and you would have to take it back.

i got the mechanic.

So, if i have only 1 card un my hand and its BLR i can play it.

If i have more than 1 BLR i will be able to play only 1, because when y play the first i will draw 5 cards and then i will get more cards other than blaine´s last resot so i will not be able any more to play another BLR. Im right?
