Sup guys.
My name is Kevin, not Jeffrey, but that's really not important. What's important is why I am "cursed." Last year, I top cut virtually every tournament attended, and then grinded into worlds. The first BR of the season, I was definately a known threat, along with the other FL master (Justin S) to play at worlds. So I end up cutting the first event pretty easily, taking 3rd. However, the rest of the season was long, humiliating, and stressful. I failed to top cut any event I played in. This included 3 BR's, 4 cities, 1 Regionals, and 1 States. I started playing more red face paint-ish decks, and I had a hard time adjusting from the MD-On format. I went 5-3 whiff at regionals, losing to prizes with a godhand, as well as 6-2 whiff @ 23rd for the states (where I played Zeel). My friends make the joke that I am "illuminati"; basically saying that I sold my soul to grind in. It's hilariously true. Well, I had played CMT last week missing a few cards, and went 0-2 drop, where once again my opponents ran very hot.
I decided to switch my list up, and play CMT again (with a few techs).
Round 1 vs Griselda A (CMT)
I open extremely fast, while she struggles to set up. I Judge her, and then deny the Skyarrow by not playing it myself. Since I go first and attack first, I win this match up pretty easily. I force a late game Mewtwo war where I have energy acceleration. I also use Shaymin to attack very early, thus disrupting her plans.

Round 2 vs Jon V (Darkrai)
I am pretty calm for this matchup, and absolutely should have won. The first turn, he benches a bunch of Darkrai and uses Smeargle to use my PONT in hand for more bench sitters and extra attack cards. I start really slow, and it seems like the game is lost when i have to discard my Shaymin early. Well, I N at a good time after KOing a Darkrai, and have a Mewtwo with 6 energy on the field. Unfortunately, Jon has enough resources in his deck to not be too affected by the N, and plays a Junk Arm to grab Catcher, KOing two Pokemon in one turn. Gross.

Round 3 vs Tony D (CaKE)
This deck just doesn't compete well in the current format. I was able to take early game control with a Regigigas EX and just really sweep from there. I just benched a bunch of EX's and attached until I could easily win the trade. His Electrode netted him 2 energy, but discarded 2 Junk Arm, 2 Juniper, and a Mewtwo!

Round 4 vs Danny A (KlingKlang EX's)
I complain about how I never donk someone, until he flips Cleffa and I rip DCE off of a PONT to KO with Mewtwo.

Round 5 vs Franco T (Vileplume/Zoroark)
I bench all of my EX's early and prepare for the prize trade. My first turn, I play 12 trainers! His Vileplume and Gloom on the bench only gave him the ability to play 3 attackers at a time, so what I did was continue to save all of my attachments for when I really needed them. I waited until he took the first prize, and then Portraited his Twins in hand for energy cards.

The game that decides top cut! I get a T1 Regigigas and Judge. The rest involves me KOing all of his Tynamo and him really having no response.

Top 4 vs Jon V (Darkrai)
Game 1: Game 1 starts with Jon going first. He gets out quick Darkrais although I am able to respond with an Early Regigigas, which he hits once, and catchers around. I continue to try and stay alive while jon is steamrolling me. Eventually, I even up the prize trade after N, Judge, and Catcher knockouts. I don't know why exactly, but Jon has game in a situation where I have a bunch of benchsitters with a Regigigas with 90 damage and an Eviolite attached. Jon attacks into the Regigigas, although I do believe that it was truly his only play. I didn't know exactly, I just thought I would lose this game. I Hammer him for 200 damage and game 1
Game 2: Game 2 starts with Jon going first, and getting a T2 Darkrai! From there, he trolls my deck and beats me very quickly. I try to fight back with Mewtwo but it doesn't matter, his strt and stream of darkrais overwhelmed me.
Game 3: This is a pretty wild game. I start Terrakion, Fighting, Pluspower, Grass, DCE, Eviolite, Junk Arm. I sigh and top deck a Celebi to saty alive. I decide to bench the Celebi, Eviolite, and pass. I know that I will not be going on to the top 2. Jon gets out a T2 Tornadus and Catcher KO's my benched Celebi with a darkrai with Eviolite on the bench. I top deck a supporter, attach the 2nd energy to Terrakion, and rip a Catcher for the KO on his benched Darkrai. My 1 card hard turns into a 3 card hand with a Juniper and a Dual Ball. From there, I bench another Celebi and figure that Jon is just going after them, so I try to distract with it. It somewhat works, and keeps the focus off of Regigigas. I eventually overwhelm his board with EX spam

Game 1: I misplay with Mewtwo
Game 2: I beat him down with T1 Regigigas + Judge
Game 3: He starts incredible and I throw the game. Headaches ftl
