Canada Regionals?

So the locations for U.S. regionals are out. Is there any word yet on regional locations for Canada?
 
Considering 6 or 7 of the November regionals have already been posted, I think it's safe to asume that Canadian Regionals will have to wait until March.

A few other assumptions that are safe to assume:
1) There will be one Western and one Eastern Canadian Regionals
2) East will be in Toronto
3) West will be in either Vancouver or Edmonton
 
This is lame, once again both Canada and Mexico are behind in 'points' opportunities when competing in the NA ranking with the USA. It's really getting stupid.

West is going to be in the Metro Vancouver area this year in case you're planning ahead.

This is quite frustrating. I am somewhat concerned that my son will not get enough opportunities to get championship points and not only miss out on worlds but possibly on nationals too!

Is there any word on what it will take to get a nationals invite for Canada for a Junior? For worlds for Juniors? Failing that is there a hard date P!P has set to let us know what it will take to get in? Failing that, can anyone make an educated guess?
 
educated guess: it wont be harder/easier to qualify for worlds than in previous years. Different yes, harder/easier, no.

Nationals: don't know. Play and enjoy, if you did well in the ratings last year I can see no reason why you would be excluded this year. But I'll end with DONT KNOW for nationals.

It is a transition year, Prof Dave has posted that it wont be perfect. Part of that means that announcements may be sparse, as the last thing OP will want is to be trapped by a premature announcement.
 
The Regionals in Eastern Canada will be in the Toronto area in April of 2012.

You can expect to see a lot of Canadians at the Regionals in Fort Wayne Indiana this coming weekend!:biggrin:
