Is it alittle too early to be talking about what we will see at cities what with dp3 not coming out yet? I thought since most of us know almost everything in it, it would be ok.

Control will also be popular (some deck based on TGW, TGM, and Ambipom).

So long as Blissey is a threat, Kingdra Swarm will be right behind it. Say what you will about FF. Kingdra Swarm still has a 60/40 on these so called TRUK variants.

Theres gonna be a lot of fighting decks out there. Its also possible Honchkrow might see play since I'm assuming we're gonna be getting the Honchkrow/Gardevoir/Garchomp level x's with SW.

I can tell you a tech for Kingdra Swarm. Just kidding, I got totally lucky against you Naki Feralkin. Totally lucky.

I think we will see lots of Blissey variants and Lucario variants. I'm not seeing much Empoleon anymore. Is it still popular?

DL24, I think you should build on your BR deck that got you top cut. It's different and disruptive.

Empoleon is still seeing play in NC. It won two or three BRs here I think. Empoleon/Lucario saw some play as well.

Definately will c some empoleon. It's so crazy because of all these great decks that are goin to b used with the stuff from DP3. U cant even pedict the metagame yet. It was different last year.

Heather I think that deck got SUPER LUCKY w/ the deck I used. But I will look into it. I actually kinda have an idea for dp3

That is why you scout the first tournament, and anti the rest. Some of us don't obsess over our ratings, so I don't mind sacrificing points to see what other people are playing.. :3

With the possibility (not yet a guarentee) of Garchomp Lv X coming out, there is no deck safe, as there can be literally ANYTHING run with it. The only hope against this Titanis of a beast is a deck with the speed of Kricketune, but much, much stronger!

What type of new creations will Secret Wonders spawn in the metagame?

I see this stuff as contenders:
    Blissey varients
    Mario
    R-Gon
Kingdra Swarm sounds like a good deck even though I've never seen one played...

    That is about it though...

You do realize that a true Blissey deck stocks more than one Blissey up, so after you use Disable, they'll bring up another Blissey, with enough energy to do at LEAST 90 to Sabeleye, so it's a OHKO, and then, they murder everything else you can bring up!

Waste the energy to retreat. It only significantly slows down the amount of time it takes to deal damage. This is also assuming you have the energy to retreat and a fully powered blissey like that on your bench. At least 90 would assume it has at the LEAST 4 (This would be taking boost into consideration as well.) or Plus Powers. Would you honestly run the risk of having that much energy on a benched blissey when your opponent could easily bring in his trump card in the next turn, One shotting blissey.

The whole thing of blissey is supposed to be quick, consistant, damage. If a deck can keep up with it, it can build enough aggression to stop Blissey before it even starts. You think that your opponent is just sitting there while he watches you build a blissey up? The longer you stall, the longer your opponent has to outwit you. I think anyone can tell when you're trying to build something up. Assuming you're building this Blissey already, you would have wasted a minimum of 4 turns, with a maximum of 7. Against me or any other Kingdra Swarm, I would have had enough time to have built my solid defense of 4 Kingdras. Thats already reducing your damage reduction by 40, and a possible 20 extra with the Buffer Pieces I run in the deck. Do you really think I'm gonna care about hitting you for 80 a turn when you have FF when I've just chunked your ridiculous damage by more than half? Overkill the Sableye. I would care less.

Note that if you would lose this blissey, you would lose a maximum of 10 energies, a minimum of 6, assuming that you're dealing this so called 90 damage. The extra energy is lost by the fact that you wasted 3 to retreat the initial in the first place. In most decks, thats more than half of it. I suppose thats not TOO bad with Delcatty EX variants, but would you really want to lose that much energy when each energy you have on Blissey is handicapped by damage reduction?

People laugh at Kingdra Swarm, but truly, how much do you really sweat when you see that match up while running Blissey? Honestly, I'm more afraid of the Gallade variants running around right now than this stupid Dump Truck. Its not about the possible double damage. Its the fact that damage reduction is a serious hindrance to something that increases with each energy added. You HAVE to add the energy to deal damage. But once you lose the Blissey, you've lost a whole part of the deck. I watch Blisseys hit the DP, and it usually comes with a chunk of cards following suit. It might start anew with a new Blissey, but then the game starts all over again, and while turns have been wasted, my own bench has also started to fill with my own swarm of energy swamped Kingdras. This is the beauty of Kingdra Swarm. I can easily just retreat as well, bringing out my next and fully functional Kingdra if its taken a beating. Damage Reduction seriously flaws the deck, and theres not much you can do about it. Cessation Crystal? Too risky. You would lose one of the decks greatest uses, Kind Egg, and in other cases, Energy Draw. Sure, you'd shut down Extra Smoke, but at a great risk. As a use for checkmate, sure, it works. But do you want Cess Crystal against all matchups? Most likely not. Its almost a hindrance or a wasted draw against any other matchup. Lati-Lock doesnt work. Kingdra is an EX, and my Ray tech more than takes care of that mess. Crystal Shard can't save you since theres nothing you're stopping with it and you're already colorless.

Lucario variant? Please. Lucario tickles Kingdra when theres even 2 on the bench, and even the snipe is shrugged off by two or more.

Delcatty Variant? Always amusing to completely weak your entire deck.

Electivire Variant? Vire weaking me? Thats an amusing thing to think about, especially when Swirl removes it and once again weaks your entire deck. (I dont even need Boundary to sweep Vires..)

I don't think people can realize that Blissey is not perfect. Its a good deck, yes. But it is perfectly stoppable. I've had minimal problems with it in BR, and I wished I played against it more. As I stated above, I'm more afraid of the Gallade Matchup than blissey, especially moreso now that Gallade also stops Blissey.

See, the Sableye isn't the single counter. Its there to stall. Its the things it stalls into that truly counters. Its pesky. Its annoying. When it dies, its job has been met. Thats the whole purpose of a wall.

I'm not saying Kingdra is the BDIF. Because it most certainly is not. My point I'm getting at here is that it is a very VERY solid way to deal with Blissey. You laugh at the deck, but it also was a pretty solid deck last season, and it still is solid to this day. Prize Tradeoff? You'll need more than straight aggression to get rid of even one. Blissey doesn't run solid enough snipe to finish off the bench. If it played with Empoleon, which I doubt has even been tried since its much too slow and Emp is straight aggro on his own, maybe, but the thought of Blisspoleon is pretty dumb since most of the aggression is Blissey anyways. Anyone who thinks Blissey has anything above a 50 matchup with a solid Kingdra Deck is greatly mistaken for it is a VERY tough matchup to walk away from.

I agree. A Blissey deck is going to be throwing away a lot of energy on retreats or has to play a bunch of Switch/Warp Points to deal with that little Sableye. Honestly, both Blissey and Kingdra terrify me. I'd love a good Kingdra Swarm deck list.

Also expect my deck if you live in Michigan. Kricketune will be fairly popular. KINGDRA is NOT a laughing matter...
