Those who cannot remember the past are condemmed to repeat it. - George Santanyana

Either Nintendo doesn't know the history (which is bad in it's own right) or Nintendo has forgotten the history (which is equally as bad).

Whoopdy do! It shouldn't matter all that much if ONE person wins multiple city championships. I think this also clues that they will be on different days... at least some of them. If it was a trip or something then it would be bad, but something like a VIP package should not be big. At least they are doing this, i mean City, State, Nationals, Worlds. That is like way more than WOTC ever gave us. Nintendo is the best and they just keep getting better. WOTC did things 10X worse than this.

I agree with you on the idea that the VIP package might not be something big. It might have some booster packs, promos, or even they might get a bye in the State championships.

This is so true. PUI is working hard and were are getting more prize support from them then WOTC has done in a long time. Also PUI is putting together a lot more sponcered tournaments then WOTC did. Last year since PUI took over there have been three major tournaments: Ruby & Sapphire, Sandstorm, and Dragon Prerelease. This year so far there are three that we know of: City in Feb, Prerelease in March, and State in April and that is jus the first couple of months. Not all areas got the first couple tournaments, but the tounament numbers have been increasing. Im sure with the City Chapionships we should see a ton of them around the US. I am hoping to see at least three here in Utah.

Indeed. Nintendo is really putting their heart and soul into OP which makes me extremely satisfied!!! I salute them for putting together a hardcore OP program that is designed to please the players and not just their pockets.
