I copy Daddiursas setup at his report, and write a report myself. Todays cosplay tournament is the theme for this little article. The deck I used was untested, but it did very well anyways =D As Daddiursa said, not a very big event, but hope you'll enjoy it anyways ;D

Outfit: Ash Ketchum (old style) Picture
Deck: Scrambled Eggs (Or my personal favourite name: Omelet... err... Oeufs Brouillés ^^)

#1: VS. Helene w/Metanite

My start is great. I start off with a Magmar as active and a Voltorb on the bench. She starts with a Beldum as active and a Dratini on the bench. She never gets a proper setup and I win the first round.

#2: VS. Khan w/Typloshion/ex

Khan is the 2005 National Champion in Norway, and I respect him as a player. Anyways, he underestimates me, gets no Energies for like 4 rounds, and I win again.

#3 VS. Axel w/Mewtric

Axel is a nice guy. He has won two CC’s this year, and along with Khan, I respect this guy too ^^ I get a bad start with a lone Magmar and one Energy. I never get any other Energies and it’s an easy win for him.

#4 VS. Adrian w/Dragtrode

Gah… Adrian once again :tongue: He has screwed up too many good results for me and I’m looking for revenge. I get a REALLY bad start, but this time it’s a lone Voltorb. The worst thing for my omelette-deck =/ He sweeps all the basics I manage to get with his Rocket’s Sneasel ex, and once again I’m owned by this guy.

#5 VS. Andy w/Dark Gyarados/Gyarados ex

Andy, Andy. I’ve met him in a lot of tournaments, and the result of our matches goes back and forth from time to time. He gets a fast Dark Gyarados, but I lay down Battle Frontier and disrupt his Poké-Body. I easily sweep three of his Dark Gyaradoses, and I never see his Gyarados ex.

Top 8

Although I only won three matches out of four, I get to the top 8 because of my resistance I got from Khan. I was the only one who had beaten him before the top 8 ^^

#6 VS. Stian w/Typloshion/Raichu/ex/Rayquaza ex

Stian is a member of the league I go to, and is a cool guy. He gets a lone Rayquaza ex start, and I get a good setup. The match is really tight, but I manage to win at a coin flip. (I needed 3 out of 5 dices!!!)

#7 VS. Axel w/Mewtric

Once again I met Axel in this tournament. When looking back at the 3rd round, I feared his powerful Mewtric deck. He gets a bad start, and along with Khan in the 2nd round, he gets no Energies for 4 rounds. I start taking prizes after exploding my bomb, and I’m one prize ahead. I have 2 POW!’s in my hand, but nothing more useful, so I Psychic Exchage for 8 new cards. After using TV Reporter I get two POW!’s once again, but now he is the one ahead on prizes. I POW! His Mew ex and destroy it with my Egg. I have a Desert Ruins out and he is afraid of laying down Manectric ex. The prizes go back and forth, but I manage to win at last.

#8 VS. Katharina w/T2 Medicham ex

While watching Katharina's game vs. Kenneth in the semi, I’m hoping she would win. So she did. With a Jirachi vs. Safeguard Ninetales :tongue:

I took advantage of her Psychic weakness and KO’s an early Medicham ex. She gets up one more, but it’s bye-bye to that one to. She evolves her Eevee to an Espeon ex, and one of my little Exeggcute has to say farewell to this match. She stalls with a Meditite, but it doesn’t help. At last she has to send up her Espeon ex, but that had a Psychic weakness too, so it was an easy match KO’ing it. Good game Katharina!

Props and slops:

+ Nice costumes on the few that had made their own
+ Well organized
+ Great prizes from Japan
+ Joakim, Evens and Eskil who lent me some cards to fulfil my deck.
+ All the people who wanted me to win both the tournament and the best costume prize
+ Pablo for giving me a LM booster for not being one of the top 3 cosume players
+ Me for winning the tournament with an untested deck
+ Me for being lucky with my dices

I don’t think there was any slops about the tourney other than maybe one little thing. I didn’t make it to the top 3 of best costumes :tongue

Nice report. :) Your costume was great, and both Pablo and I had you as our second pick. You had without a doubt one of the top 4 costumes. I personally thought it looked like the Ash and Shining Medicham costumes were the ones that had been put the most work into. It really seemed like you two had spent a lot of time preparing these costumes.

Thank you ^^ Yeah, I think I did surprisingly well with teh deck. It's extremely fun to play with and ludicolous article helped me on the way for making my own list. I didn't want to copy his list because I am and was never fond of completely netdecking. My list did not include Boost Energy though, but I might add it. Don't know why I did not use it. I think I forgot that you can fetch it with Electrode ex's power. Another thing I did was to play a 3-3 line of both the eggs and the 'trode ex. I think I will consider teching a HL Electrode actually, it can be a funny tech and it helps against big, bad ex's.
Also, if anyone wants a list, feel free to PM me =D

BTW, "Omelette au Fromage" rather than "Omelette du Fromage". :tongue: And Scrambled Eggs = Oeufs Brouillés :biggrin:
 
Heh :tongue: I was thinking about Dexter's Laboratory (from Cartoon Network) when I wrote it, but thanks! Yeah, it WAS I nice tournament. It seems that you got a lot more French skills than me, and Oeufs Brouillés is a cool name, so Oeufs Brouillés it is!

Nah, it's nothing that exciting. It's actually just a little taco fastfood restaurant in the shopping hall next to Oslo central station. :p
