Has anyone watched this anime? I really like it.
I have only watch the first 14 or so episodes and it is really addicting.

wiki entry:
Set during the end of a fictional nineteenth century on Earth, D.Gray-man mostly centers around 15-year-old Allen Walker. In his childhood Allen was abandoned by his parents due to a 'deformed' left arm and was adopted by a man called Mana Walker. At some moment Mana died and Allen tried to revive him with the help of a person called Millennium Earl. Allen revives him but Mana reappears as a akuma (アクマ ,lit. demon?) that is ordered by the Millennium Earl to kill him. During that moment Allen is gifted with the ability to control a weaponized form of a divine substance from ages past, called Innocence and accidentally kills Mana. Before Mana dies, he curses Allen's left eye, which later gives him the ability to see the souls of akuma. After that Allen discovers that the Millennium Earl tries to trick those who have lost loved ones to turn their dead souls into akuma and decides to train himself in order to stop him. Soon he becomes an Exorcist from the Black Order, a secretive organization which aims to stop the plan set in motion by the Millennium Earl and to save the souls trapped as akuma. However, the Earl has raised an army of akuma, created by taking advantage of grief over a loved one's death, and summons the direct descendants of Noah himself, the 13-strong Noah Clan, to aid him in his second attempt. Because of the akuma's ability to wear a human's skin, they are nearly undetectable by any human. Allen proves to be a powerful asset as his 'cursed' left eye is able to detect the akuma.

Been watching this subbed since the english episodes aren't out fast enough. It's a good anime so far, but I think it's a little too slow in developing it's story. Still worth a watch, though.

we can't post links here but one of my friends has the season 1 DVD
if you are going to nats we can bring it if you want xD

D.Grayman finished a while back. It kinda sucks where it ended since nothing is really resolved since the manga keeps going. :\ Here's hoping for a season two eventually.

Not sure. I assume they got too close to the manga and just decided it was time for a break instead of shoving more filler in. Can't say I disagree with that decision, but I'm not even sure if they're planning a season two.

I'd rather have the anime take a break for a few weeks/months than get bombarded with crappy filler (Naruto, I'm lookin at YOU) or episodes extended FAR beyond their original intention (glares at DBZ).

Dunno, Bleach managed it for about 6 months. The Bount arc wasn't bad by any means. I think it actually added to some of the characters (Ichigo and Ishida in particular) that the manga simply didn't have.

Yah but the setting of Bleach allows for a lot of rogue elements. I just don't see how you could have any other viable enemy in D. Gray-man other than the Millennium Earl. I guess I'm just not imaginative enough.

Uhh...all of the Noah? That cat Noah was all filler. Tiki prolly takes up more face time than the Earl at present.

There could always be some person who stumbled upon some Innocence, synced with it, and then decided he wanted to destroy the world or whatever.

Or, the Earl could just make some new beastly Akuma, that is like lvl 400.

Okk, so I had stopped at episode 80 or so. Just finished through 103 yesterday.

Now, I'm sad, and I'm going to go watch One Piece. I mean serizly, Allen's and Lenalee's team work was sick, and the General's are so crazy cool, and the POPE! Since when was this tied in with organized religion. It makes it so much better.

I tried it and absolutely loathed Allen's voice in Japanese. >w> Didn't honestly expect him to sound like a girl. =w=;

But I love love the manga! You should give it a try.

I didn't really see anything wrong with Allen's voice. However, I'm used to hearing young male protagonists of shounen series voiced by women.

Allen's not exactly the manliest of men anyway.

I like this series, but I try to ignore all of the religious tie ins because of their blatant inaccuracy. Kinda hate how it gives the wrong image to Christianity. Then again, it isn't any different than when western entertainment delves into it, so what do I know?

I bought about the first five volumes of the manga, but then it started getting a little too complex and hard to follow for my liking, so I stopped buying. I mean, it's not that I don't like a little depth, but there were too many characters, too much confusing action, and hard-to-follow storylines.

I watched the first episode of the anime, but then they started making you pay for it on ON DEMAND. Then, I'm like "hell, no." And that was that.
