D&P: Team Galactic's Conquest

I decided to start making a Team Galactic set. I assume that there will be a real one eventually, but why not be creative now?!

This set is incomplete, and I will post the rest as I make them if there is enough interest.

If you make a card, don't forget to make its pre-evolutions. Also, remember that Dark sets generally have Pokemon with decreased HP, and the Dark Pokemon are duel-typed. Thanks!

Umm... incase you didn't know... people usualy post cards that will be in the set (and make some themselves..) and have people make them for fun... not just you making them all.

I do know, but people have never been interested in my sets before. If others show interest, I will indeed post a list.

I was interested in this one, but because there was no list I assumed you didn't want anyone else to make any.

Wow...well, I thank you. A list will be coming shortly, I promise. Thanks for your interest, I really appreciate it!

What do you think of the cards I've made so far?

Wow.
Good to see that there's still some talent remaining in the CaC section.
Your grammar could use some work, and some of your cards are pretty broken, but a lot of them are original, and it's obvious that you thought them out.
Anyways, I shall contribute.

BurninatingTorchic: Thanks for contributing, I really like your Lucario! And the Togekiss for that matter!
Could you point out my grammar mistakes (or at least the biggest ones that may repeat themselves often) so that I might correct them (would you believe that I'm in college...kind of embarrassing)? Also, what cards do you think are broken, and do you think that I could tweak them in a way as to make them not as broken while somewhat retaining the original feel of the card?

Ok, it's gonna seem like a lot, but most of the fixes are minor.

Ampharos:
1. Re-Direct: Omit "Once during your turn", change the first "and" to "if."
2. Static Field: Omit the comma after "trainer".

Flaaffy: The once per turn limitation on Shocking Coat is unnecessary

Dark Toxicroak: See Mothim (Secret Wonders) Silver Wind for what Nasty Plot should be changed to. Also, the comma poison clause in Muk Bomb can be omitted.

Croagunk: Eliminate the first comma in Poison Gloss.

Dark Purugly: There are several errors in the Pokepower, so I'll correct all of them.
Once during your turn (before you attack), you may place 2 damge counters on 1 of your Pokemon. If you do, you may search your deck for a card with Galactic in its name and put it into your hand. Shuffle your deck afterwards. This Power can't be used if Purugly is affected by a Special Condition. You may only use 1 Paws of Bidding Poke-Power each turn.

Glameow: Pokepower is broken; it's like Unown M's but without a coin flip.

Dark Crobat: Like "before you attack", "excluding dark crobat" should also be in parenthesis instead of with commas.

Seedot: Explosion attacks never say "____ is now knocked out." They say "____ does X damage to itself", X is usually the same amount that it's doing to the defending, which has to be enough to knock itself out.

Sudowoodo: "All energy and attack requirements remain the same" should be "Including energy cost and anything else required to use that attack".

Bonsly: Cry for Help needs a clause that says you can't use it if you don't have anybody on your bench. Otherwise, you can lose the game by searching for an evolution.

Dark Blastoise:
1. Cursed Water: Your grammar might be right, but I don't think it is. Check somebody with Sand Damage and make the grammar a slight modification of that.
2. The comma can be omitted.

Squirtle: Shell Growth should say "Search your deck for a card that evolves from Squirtle". Generalizations are usually better than specifics. Also, it's incredbily broken - most Pokemon with attacks like that are a coin flip, AND it costs energy. Yours is free and it isn't a coin flip. Broken.

Bronzor: Again, broken attack. 30 damage is fine, searching for an evolution is fine (for that cost), but not both of them. 10 damage, maybe.

Dark Muk:
1. Stinky Play's wording should be changed to: "As long as Dark Muk is your Active Pokemon, whenever you play a Supporter card with Galactic in its name, put one damage counter on each of your opponent's Pokemon."
2. Sludge Gather's effect is broken, but regardless, its proper grammar would be "Search your deck for a Dark Muk and put it onto your bench. Treat the new Pokemon as a Basic Pokemon. If your bench is full, this attack does nothing."

Grimer: And the broken evolution searchers are now a triad! [C] Ascensions are coinflips.

Magmortar Lv.X
1. The "this stops working if you're already using another" is confusing and makes little sense. Perhaps what you should do instead is put "If Magmortar is your Active Pokemon" at the front of the text.
2. The Pokebody's broken and the attack is underbroken. Not sure if that balances out or not.

Magmortar:
1. Black Flames: The first sentence is virtually useless: just put [D] in the energy requirement in place of the [C]. Also, "your opponent's Active Pokemon" should be "The Defending Pokemon."
2. Overwhelming Blaze: INSANELY broken. There aren't even any fixes for this. The effect should be scrapped COMPLETELY (And, subsequently, the energy cost should be lowered).

Electivire Lv.X:
Wicked Strike: Cannot should be Can't. Also, maybe I'm not thinking correctly, but I can't think of any reason why you wouldn't be able to discard the energy - so "if you can't this attack does nothing" should probably be omitted altogether. Also, "have" and "them" in the second sentence should be changed to "has" and "it" respectively - even though you're referring to multiple Pokemon, it should use the singular tense because it's talking about each one individually.

Electivire:
Darkest Impulse: "Their" should be "his or her". Also, you misspelled Darkest in the last sentence.

Elekid: Clarify that it's a basic energy card.

Tyranitar:
1. Direct Hit: "Benched" should be added after "choose one of your opponent's" and before "Pokemon". Also, it's a tad broken for that cost.
2. Wicked Resonance: Broken. Honestly, this thing's attacks are more powerful than the Lv.X's.

Dark Pupitar: Check the "Rough Skin" Pokebody on any Sharpedo (Example: Secret Wonders) for the correct grammar.

Larvitar: Sandstorm is, in fact, underbroken. You can probably chop a [C] off the cost.

Dark Arcanine: "Your opponent choose the Benched Pokemon to switch" is redundant, because you already said "your opponent switches". I know cards sometimes say that the opponent chooses the active pokemon to switch, but that is a little different. If it says "Your opponent switches the Defending Pokemon", they choose which benched to bring up. If it says "Switch the Defending Pokemon", you choose.
Also, you put [F] instead of [R].

Growlithe: Check intimidate against a real card. The grammar's off. Also, you put [F] instead of [R].

Dark Slowking:
1. Clouded Mind: The first part should be similar to rough skin: "If Dark Slowking is damaged by an opponent's attack and has any [D] energy attached to it, the attacking Pokemon can't use that attack during your opponent's next turn. Or maybe you took that grammar from Uxie, if you did, leave it. It should be identical to Uxie's, with the dark energy clause, of course.
2. Corrupt: Starting with "ignoring", it should be changed to "except for its Energy cost (You must still do anything else required for that attack.)"

Slowbro:
1. Tempo Control's grammar should be: Once during your turn (before you attack), if Slowbro is your Active Pokemon and the Defending Pokemon is [D], you may use this power. Choose one of the Defending Pokemon's attacks. That Pokemon can't use that attack during your opponent's next turn. This Power can't be used if Slowbro is affected by a Special Condition.
2. Zen Headbutt: "and" should be changed to "or".

Cyrus:
"Find all cards" through "shuffle them into your deck" should be changed to "Search your discard pile for up to 6 cards with Galactic or Dark in their name, show them to your opponent, and shuffle them into your deck."
Also, it should probably be "Galactic's Cyrus", considering that the other cards are "Galactic's Mars" and whatnot. Or maybe not. Your call.

Palkia:
1. "you may use this power. Flip a coin." can be condensed to "you may flip a coin."
2. You forgot the "don't apply weakness or resistance" clause in Cosmo Rapture.

Palkia LvX:
Galactic Rip: "before you attack" should be omitted, and "(Before doing damage)" with parenthesis should be added at the end.

Dark Walrein: Check Legend Maker (Was it Legend Maker? I don't remember) Walrein ex for the proper grammar for Black Mist.

Mt. Coronet: Taken from Lake Boundary, Change to "As long as both players have Pokemon in play with Dark or Galactic in their name, apply weakness for each Pokemon with Dark or Galactic in their name as +10 instead.

In general:
1. Get rid of all the single quotations. They're unnecessary/never used. When you're putting them around a Pokemon name (Ie, Dark Toxicroak's Muk Bomb attack), say "A Pokemon named _____". When putting them around anything else, like, for example "Galactic's", you just don't use them at all.
2. It's never "may not". It's "can't".
3. For the "before you attack" in Pokepowers, you don't use commas. Parenthesis are correct.
4. You tend to use too many commas on just about everything. Break your run-on sentences up.

Can I reserve these cards?

Well, you have some Dark Pokemon leveling up into Galactic's Pokemon, which doesn't happen. You should make the entire line Galactic's, rather than just the Lv Xs.

Compare Latios's attack to Latias's attack.

80, discard 3.
70, discard 2, opponent gets 'Smokescreened'.

Which one seems much better than the other?
How can you fix that?

I realize what you're saying, but it seems like your being kind of condescending on my end. I am very pleased that you want to contribute, but please try to phrase things in a more courteous manner.

I agree that Latias' attack should be toned down. Thanks for the suggestion.
