[decklist] Kingdra EX

Hi!

I think that Kingdra EX may be a good deck for my national championship (France), the metagame here looks like in USA. That's my list. I hope you will help me to improve (ameliorate) it.

Pokémons (25) :

4 Pachirisu GE
4-2-4 Kingdra EX DF
2-2 Fearow delta CG
2-2 Claydol GE
2 Unown G
1 Stantler SW

Trainers (21) :

4 Rare Candy
4 Bebe's search
2 Roseanne's research
2 Super Scoop Up
1 Warp point
2 Pluspower
1 Strenght charm
1 Night maintenance
2 Windstorm
2 Steven's advice

Energies (14) :

2 Cyclone
12 Fightning

THE CARDS :

Pachirisu :
It's the starter of the deck... I think you understand

Kingdra EX :
It is the best pokemon of the deck, his poké-body is very usefull (-10 damages at each LV.2 EX pokémon for each Kingdra EX in play) and it's first attack is better if we choose a special energy like CYCLONE or HEAL. It's weakness isn't very bad because lightning isn't played and it's second attack remove the weakness....

Fearow d :
It's here to start faster, I think you know he's power. I have preferated put 2-2 beacause 1-1 is always in prizes :frown:

Claydol :
It's power is extra ! 6 cards in hand all turns... no comment

Unown G :
It can be attached like a tool which doesn't take (???) the effects of the oponnent's attacks.
Against Gallade it's very usefull too and against a lot of decks !

Stantler :
For bads starts, it can save a game (battle ? fight ? play ?).

Super Scoop Up :
If the bench is so occupated or if I want to remove all markers on a Kingdra on the bench.

Night Maintenance :
Maybe one isn't enough... I don't use it frequetly... What do you think ?

Windstorm :
For Cessation crystal (in Mario) it stops my developpementt (start ? begin ?) Winstorm is good against it.

Special energies :
To make surprises, when Kingdra attacks Energy Link too.

So, I'm waiting for your comments !

Pachirisu is the starter, I need 4 of them, else, I will do bad starts and lose. No, I won't remove any Pachirisus.
Tanks for the heal... I'll searching for a better special energy !

A 1-1 Cloyster d will WONDERS versus BTOH GG and Magmortar prevent any switching from Sonic Blade/Bring Down or Bench Damage fro Magmortar

What's BTOH ? GG is Gallade/Gardevoir ?
I think that is a good idea but damages to bench pokémons are effects (the biggest part of time) and I've ever got Unown G to prevent these damages.

Having Unown G on your active Pokemon doesn't stop the opponent from doing damage to your benched Pokemon.

Yes but you can attach Unown to one of your bench pokemon... You may say that I haven't got as many unowns as it should be for all my bench pokemons but the poke-body of Kingdra prevents easily 20 damages (the biggest part of the time, attacks on benched pokemons are 20) so, we must just one for the active, one other for fearow and a last for claydol... So,I think Unown is good.
If I put 1-1 of cloyster, the deck will be short and there will not be as many places on bench to play 4 Kingdras.

just put in cloyster, it will be fantastic in the deck.
and unless i am mistaken, you cant use sonic blade if the pokemon cant switch.
i could be wrong though.

and im sure you can find something better than mr stones.
like another night maintenance perhaps.
or find room for draw, seeing as you play none at all.

yes claydol is draw, but trust me, youre going to want more than just that.
i would recomend finding room for at least 3 stevens or TV reporter.

and if youre going to be playing 1 stantler, i would take out 1 pachirisu.

I think you need to find space for a few more energy. I'm not sure if you need the 2-2 Fearow. Because of Claydol you will draw a lot and hopefully always have the stuff you need.

Yes, but, my opponnent is able to switch my active pokemon with Claydol which is so important (cloyster protects only deltas), I don't think steven's advice is a good idea... Claydol is good, and if I play a drawer, I won't be able to use claydol for many turns. No, I think Cloyster is a bad idea.
For Mr.stone's project, I'll reflect... and test too !
ShawofMordor :
Yes, a lot of friends said me that but when Fearow is in prizes, I'm very bad... I will test an other time and say you what I think... It's true that I've always got 1-1 Fearow in my hand... Maybe :
- 1-1 Fearow
+ 1 Fightning
+ 1 Maintenance
is better, I'll test it.

Tanks for your advices.

EDIT : hum hum, Closter was maybe a good idea ^^" because kirlia never stops kill my horseas (40 PVs) But on 3 Games, I have gotten just 1 Fearow (1 Game / 3 Oo) and that was horrible.

+ 1-1 Fearow
- 1 Fightning
- 1 Maintenance

I had a question for Pokémon professors too :
If Gallade attacks me "Psychic Cut" and I have an unown, the attack does only 60 or 60 + 20 for each prizes that my opponent put face up ?

If gallade attacks me 60 + 20 for each prizes that my opponent put face up :

- 1-1 Unown G
+ 1-1 Cloyster d

Flipping prizes is a part of the damage calculation and is NOT considered an effect, so Unown G does NOT prevent the extra damage from the prize flipping.

i know im not a professor, but i can tell you the answer to your question. gallade can still add damage to its attack because unown says prevent anything other than damage, and the +20 is damage.

trust me on this friend, stevens is one of the best combos with claydol.
i play claydol in all of my decks with at least 3 stevens (with the exception of those that play dusknoir of course).
claydol makes it so you have 6 in your hand at all times, and with all the pachirisu around people will have big benchs so that lets you stevens for 4+ in most instances.
and its plenty easy to get those cards out of your hand to use claydol again.

and ShadowofMorador, 14 energy should be enough, thats how many i played when i used this deck and it did just fine.
there were times i wished i had played maybe 1-2 more though, so if you can find room, try and do so and see how that works.

So, Cloyster is better than Unown but Claydol has an inclination to die prematurely... but nothing is perfect.
For Steven, I've removed a switch and Mr. Stone... It's good too and better when Claydol can't help me.
Tanks for your help !
